I've never tried Bahn Mi. (wouldn't mind though) So I don't know what type of meat it contains..however going by wiki, it doesn't say anything about using Korean BBQ. If it does, it's fusion because there is no such thing as authentic Korean tacos. If it tastes the same.. it's probably because it's made with soy sauce/ Maggi and similar "asian" ingredients. So that's like saying they are the same because they use similar ingredients. Going back to my original fusion restaurants like to substitute theory.
Apple pancakes with avocado "cream" (I just blend the avocado with some lemon juice). Some cinnamon and/or crushed poppy seed to go with it.
Looks awesome. As does this. For all I know I might be the origin. I'm a health nut - I don't eat processed foods, no sweets, no wheat, etc... Apple pancakes are pretty popular over here (Germany), but people generally eat it with a mix of cinnamon and sugar, powdered sugar or chocolate hazelnut spreads (Nutella). Again, being the health nut that I am, I usually have some avocado spread in the fridge, so one day I just figured I'd try apple pancakes with avocado spread instead. I loved it and eat it ever since. Can't be that bad, as some of my friends and relatives have picked it up as well.
I have to admit, I was wondering the same thing. I've had the Apfel Pfannekuchen at Magnolia pancake Haus in San Antonio a few times. Not bad, but it definitely has pancake batter (meaning: flour) in it.
I love it too......but I haven't quite developed a taste for blood cake (for those restaurants that like to add it).
