I dunno, do people hate starship troopers? Because that's one of my all time fav.

 

Lord of the Rings, they weren't bad movies by any means, I just thought they were solid fantasy movies, nothing more.


2014 Godzilla, I really loved it, yet most people were underwhelmed.

1. Guardians of the Galaxy. You could find better actors in a high school play.

2. Mr. Deeds and Johnny English. Blonde Winona Ryder and Natalie Imbruglia . And Matrix Reloaded I agree with. Best car chase scene ever in my book, because in the Matrix ANYTHING can happen.

Old or new, it doesn't matter. Innovation is king on my list.

 

Napoleon Dynamite - I would like to second my disgust with this movie. Not funny at all.

Quantum Of Solace - I admit, not the best of the Daniel Craig Bond movies so far. But compared to a lot of the action movies of the last 10 years, I think it's rather good.

 

The Royal Tenenbaums

 

this is my favorite movie of all time.

but a lot of people who respond to plot driven movies and action flicks would probably find this movie boring to them.

a common theme among people who hate the movie is that nothing happens.

 

I loved Reservoir Dogs but I hated just about every Tarantino movie afterwards including Pulp Fiction. Tarantino's next best movie for me was Django Unchained..I liked it a lot until the stupid unbelievable over-the-top gun fight at the end.

I absolutely Love "Life is Beautiful" and although it won best picture in 1999, I've never heard anyone else profess to like the movie.

 

Pulp fiction and Big Lebowski. Tried to watch both of them but lost interest after about 30 mins.

 

You didn't like Drive??? That's gotta be rare.

 

1. I agree with whoever said Blindside earlier. I didn't care for that at all. There's more that I will probably think of later.

2. Straight to Hell is one movie that seems to be largely split by the sex that watch it. In my experience Females seem to loathe it, and guys seem to love it.

I thought the Usual Suspects was average at best. Oh year, and Casablanca and Citizen Kane are boring as hell

1. Avatar, hated everything about it, I don't know what the rave was given the storyline. I mean sure it was pretty pictures, but I hate all 3 d movies anyway. Also didn't like how those blue people looked.

Also agree with others on Reservoir dogs, I pretty much love all his other movies and have seen each one more than once except this RD, thought it was meh at best.

2. I liked all the Transformers movies, when I watch a action movie I want to see just stupid and repetitive action, don't care about anything else really.

 

I think you meant to put The Village up there with movies that you hated.

personally, I have to deal with people all the time that hate on fight club (prob my fav.) I just tell them to stand up when they take a piss.

 

Hate: Pretty much any Tarantino movie not called Pulp Fiction - he was a one-hit-wonder IMO.

Love: Grown Ups 2 - this is universally considered one of the worst movies ever made.....yet, I find myself watching it every time it comes on. Definitely falls into the "so bad it's good" category.
