I am Greek Orthodox. Our priests our allowed to marry before they are ordained as they should be. Due to this, there are less problems when it comes to abuse.

 

Of course. the idea of lifelong celibacy is inhumane. It is obvious that priests need to be allowed to marry. Legal action needs to take place so many of these priests need to be locked up. The former pope should not be allowed to get away with this cover up. He should be facing charges. What kind of sick person helps people molest children? I'll tell you who a ex Nazi. Yes I heard his excuse on why he was a Nazi. But you would think being affiliated with Hitler would be enough to disqualify somebody from obtaining the top spot in the entire catholic church.

You would; but Hitler was a Catholic in good standing, and the Vatican was created by Fascist Italy, and Ratzinger was still a teenager when the War ended. And of course, Catholics (among others) used to slaughter and persecute Jews (and Protestants) en masse, so not a lot of solid ground.

 

Just clarifying my assertion that Vatican City was made sovereign by Fascist Italy. All the other stuff still stands.
