Just my guess, Wolves wanted Russell badly, the rumor about the Warriors getting D.Lo just to trade him later for a better fit has been out there since they signed him so, considering they also moved Iggy, putting all things together, i wouldn't be shocked if they already have a deal in place for a Russell/Covignton swap as soon as Russell can be traded, Covington would literally fit like a glove in Iggy's place.

I see, that will be Dec 15th at the earliest to trade Russell I think though right? And he’s got a $27m something salary right? Warriors would have to take back Dieng. Maybe I could see that...but it wouldn’t happen soon if the trade for Russell is already completed.

Dieng or Teague. But yeah, i think they can trade him in December.

Trade picks/Shump for modest upgrade (RoCo/Iggy)

RunItBack/Hold onto assets and $$ for whatever comes up midseason
