Since most threads have essentially turned into flame wars anti-Harden, Morey or McHale, just wanted to do a quick poll of the forum to see what exactly the pulse is amongst everyone. Gave a few options.

I'd like to know first, if Les even attempted to speak with Dwight and James. If he didn't, then I think that was a mistake and should have gone that route first, to avoid this ****storm...

Give them the opportunity to intervene and get things straight, let them know coach's job is at stake..If they don't respond, then fire McHale. That would be the only thing to do because Les' hands would be tied.

It's a step in the right direction, but we still have big problems besides coaching.

I think it was becoming increasing clear that he was losing the team and control of the locker room.

When that happens, you can count the days you have left as a coach on your right hand.

Its a shame that McHale was basically the fall guy for the players not playing well but if this sparks the team and put them on edge, then so be it.

Yes. I would have been more patient by about two weeks. But what we've seen this season was completely unacceptable and the firing didn't surprise me or upset me at all.

Not sure, I'd like to say yes because I think he was incompetent but there are so many things involved here. I feel bad for McHale as a person. He didn't deserve to go out like this as a coach neither. Harden is already talking about how much energy JB shows on the sidelines which keeps them engaged. I sincerely hope the guys did not play with less effort to get the coach out. I wonder how they truly feel about McHale and how they talked about him. I have faith in JB, he's smart and on the ball, but when the system is still the same with not the right type of players on the team, what good does it do?

Great guy, great player but not a great coach.

Voted "yes", but players means Harden.

His effort this season was payback for his Game 6 benching.

We won, but he's still mad.

Dude is a certified Diva so don't expect any leadership.

McHale needed to be fired regardless... crap playcalling and demands no accountability.

I agree with the firing. Not sold on JBB being the best follow up move to make it worth it.

Well it certainly puts the focus on Harden. It exposes him, since McHale is no longer here to take the heat.
