I could see him as a Cato-like 4 with Yao. That worked reasonably well.

I thought you were talking about Wilson Chandler.

Him I can understand and would make a move for if he became available, but Tyson no way.

He can go back to the chicken farm before he suits up for us.

Sherlock, he is the perfect compliment to yao. He makes up ground , weakside shot blocker, runs the floor like a gazzelle. I doubt the rox can get him because he's in the devision. You'll never convince DD chandler is a better fit than scola.

    He would SUCK on offense.

Do you think teams would have to honor Chandler at the elbow? Or would they just ignore him out there?

He would work very well on defense but would suck on offense and make it even more crowded for Yao in the paint thus, doesn't make the team better.

In you and Gaters - athleticism is everything world - the only one I think really works is Camby because he has to be honored on the perimeter and can hit the midrange shot.

I don't mind athletes, but please present ones that fit in with a Yao centric team.

Or move Yao....whatever works...just please make reasonable suggestions for the talent that is currently ON the roster and is likely to stay on the roster.

Actually, if a guy can crash the offensive board, he can be useful even in the absence of a midrange game. Scola, Landry and Hayes each hang around the basket quite a bit for the pass or offensive rebound when they play with Yao.

Overall, I think it would be important to address the Rockets lack of interior size when Yao sits. Chandler may be the guy if he's available.

A better fit, if available, would be someone who plays interior D and has shooting range.

ok man, you realize chandler is 7 feet, has no jumpshot, and is not a scorer at all? you honestly think he can play sg and sf? he gets most his points from passes by chris paul. tmac can play pg, if you didnt notice his playmaking ability

sherlock, we are still waiting for you who obviously followed Tyson Chandler's career closely to come up with an example of when exactly did he ever play SG and SF...

DD, defense is they problem.Just off alleys, pnr, crashing the boards, and running the floor, chandler can avg 10ppg. He came off the bench in chicago minus paul and was a double-double. His true value is covering on d, rebounding and weakside shot blocking. Dropping the opp ppg and fg by a ppg or more plus the fg% to 43% would male this team better. Plus when yao sits and either scola or landry is in, the rox have a kg type at center to make the 2nd team quicker. No if you think scolas offense outweigh his terrible defense, that's your opinion. I don't think it does.

what four positions can he play well? he certainly can not play the 2 guard, he's not going to be able to stick with the 3's he could play the 4 and 5, we DONT need another center on our roster and we have 2 good 4s...no need for chandler. we need athleticism and finishing, a la carter, or a good shooter, a la miller, or an efficient pg...not a center

My goodness. I'm surprised you didn't list him as our starting PG while too.

So we should give our division rivals, a team ahead of us in the standing Artest and Landry for Chandler?

Are you trying to ruin our damn chances?

We don't even know the T-mac situation, we would be better off keeping Artest or at least getting VC for him if we are going to trade him not knowing the T-mac situation.

We should go after Brad Miller. He can back up Rafer.

I agree he is the perfect defensive complimant to Yao. Don't know if I would give up the house for him as he is one deminsional. He would be a beast on the offensive glass. I also remember reading a while ago that he and Yao are good friends. I think it would work better if our PG wasn't an offensive liability as well. I also think Scola is very versatile he would be great coming off the bench or starting. I think he would be best coming off the bench if we had Chandler.

no offense, man, but you've lost some major credibility.

everytime you post and people see your moniker 'Sherlock,' they're gonna think of the claims you made in this thread.

please close this, there's no point for this post to go on when it's clear Tyson doesn't play 4 positions and he's definitely not a defensive specialist. What you mean is he can only play defense, that doesn't mean it's good defense. His numbers have dropped this year and he's not even a good shotblocker, he gets blocks just do to being a center and tall, not a lot of skill.
