Damn, it hurts watching these other teams play. Fans going nuts. Big game winning shots, while we all sit and home.
Yeah, it's a downer. I'm a little jealous after 4 straight years of lottery caliber teams. I miss my team in the middle of all this passion.
Early June 2004 Steve Francis' eyes glistened as he searched through the masses of confetti, reporters, and cameramen. He saw him at the far corner of the court, hugging Maurice Taylor. When they were finished congratulating each other, he ran straight to him and jumped in his arms. Yao Ming wrapped him in a bearhug. "Thank you," the Chinese center told him. "No, thank you," answered Francis, tears streaming down his face. "I had a dream, and now it's come true. We couldn't have done it without you, Yao." Yao grinned and looked around. Cameras flashed. The crowd was in hysteria, and his teammates were jumping and hollering. He smiled as he watched James Posey and Cuttino Mobley stand on the scorers' table, waving their red towels. Suddenly, the stress was no more. He didn't mind the cameras recording his every move, or the reporters in his face. He thought of his people back home. He thought of the little Chinese boys who would be assured, at this moment, that they can achieve their dreams. He never knew winning an NBA Championship would be like this. Steve grabbed Yao's wrist and hoisted it up. This was the picture of perfection. THIS...was the Houston Rockets, on top of the world once again.
It's a dream, man. I mean, I don't really think we could reach the Finals next year. eerie music ...Or could we?
it was a killer to watch that Suns Spurs game! Wish that was houston. Big shots Amare banking in the 3 to go OT, then Marbury banking in a wild 3 for the win...just crazy. The Choke of the day goes to Tim Dunkin.
