Their are several players that are playing for their next contract.
They REALLY have to show something to get a payday

This is why it is possible the Rockets Make a good Showing

Dwight: If he suck in this series he might as well opt back in
DMo: Anyone comfortable giving him a 10+ Mil Contract yet?
TJones: He might be lucky to get Corey Brewer Money
Josh Smith: He needs to have a monster series to get any deal

I think the playoffs will interesting

They better not be playing for their freakin' contract! They better be playing for their freakin' lives!!!

We haven't had any real team chemistry all year and I can't imagine anything thinking about their contract is going to help.

I hope they find some crazy level of focused recklessness. I don't want anyone to get hurt but I would love to see the team play with some freakin' abandonment for once. I want bodies on the floor. I want players diving and fighting for loose balls.

I want them all to forget about their freakin' contracts and get behind Harden and do all the things necessary to claw out a freakin' win.

    Freakin' A

LOL TJones will be sitting and praying that he gets another NBA bench to warm up

If this guy plays any minutes, we have been blown the F out

Reasonable thoughts. My best bb buddy and I were discussing that exactly for DHo just yesterday. What is he worth on the open market if he has a grand series, or a poor one. This keeps in mind that the Dubs pose a terrible match-up issue to even having the guy on the court big minutes.

$23 mil for 1 yr, and the risk of being traded 'anywhere' for that season (which is the biggest reason I don't expect an opt in) v ... v what? $60/3? More, less?

Yeah, I'm ready to go 3-4 yrs, 10-12 mil for DMo right this very minute.

TJo is out there on a loose limb.

And I bring back Josh, I do. But north of 5? Hmm, not so sure about that...

Brew, have a good series (and get some demand into your [contract's] soul).

Everyone plays to have pretty stats without defense and still lose all games.

Dwight and maybe D.Mo will have their head on the next contract, Jones and Smoove meh, nobody wanted Smoove last year and i don't see anybody paying Jones more than a MLE (if he's lucky).

Dwight and DMo have a lot to prove, Dwight trying to prove that he's still a max guy (he's not), DMo trying to prove that he deserves something in the neighborhood of 10 mil a year.

I think someone pays Dwight this off-season, but it won't be here.

I think DMo gets paid too, it could be here, but I wouldn't bet on it. The Rockets have his Bird rights and he's restricted so they can keep him if they want, but all of their attention will be on Durant so he could sign elsewhere during that time and they'd let him walk.

Smith and Jones are trying to prove that they still belong in the NBA at all, Smith might get a chance at some point, Jones is probably inactive as the #5 PF on the roster behind DMo, Smith, Harrell, and Beasley.

Smith might get a league minimum deal next year or he might retire. I don't think he stays here no matter what.

Jones might get a league minimum deal to warm a bench somewhere, but he's out of the league within 3 years tops.
