Nuggets lose to Blazers and beat Wolves. (problem is that if Nuggets lose to Blazers next game, they are already 9th seed, they don't want to beat Wolves final game) Thunder 47-35 (7th seed) Wolves 46-36 (8th seed) Nuggets 46-36 (9th seed) If Nuggets refuse to beat Wolves, Thunder 8th seed against Rockets. Wolves have tiebreaker over Nuggets
Every result tonight was favorable except for us losing, though that might be a blessing in disguise in the end.
I watched the game and officials were never an issue. Yes some questionable calls went to OKC, but same was true for Houston. Rockets lost plain and simple because of lack of effort in 4th quarter. OKC turned it up in defense for a few minutes and our offense fell apart. It's a good experience to be had before the playoffs.
We lost it sure but the refereeing was tilted clearly in favor of okc. We are 3rd in fta/game with 25.4 and okc is 6th at 24 per. They attempted 33 fts to our 23 They got called for 20pf to our 24pf All the techs where in okc favor. Again, sure we definitely lost this game and could have played better. But you could watch and tell there was a tilt going on.
Ah, you found a 4-way tie (not involving Utah) in which OKC doesn't finish last. If SA beats NO, then: MIN 9-2, OKC 4-7, SA 6-5, NO 4-7 If NO beats SA, then: MIN 9-2, OKC 4-7, SA 5-6, NO 5-6 (SA wins the SA/NO tiebreaker based on conference record)
Zach Zarba and Karl Lane looked like men on a mission out there. They were like **** your supposed home court advantage.
Hoping the spurs and Thunders finish 6-7... that keeps them out of the Rockets way until the WCF if they make it.... I dont give a s*** which one of those teams are 6-7... as long as they are out of the Rockets playoff bracket and are the Warriors problems. That would leave Blazers, Spurs, and Thunder to deal with the Warriors. I would be ok with that. Dont know what it would take.
I'm looking at the Jazz schedule right now. They are playing the Blazers and the Warriors in their final two games. They might lose those two games. The Rockets might play the Jazz in the playoffs.
how can it happen?? Lonzo Ball (knee contusion), Brandon Ingram (concussion protocol) and Kyle Kuzma (ankle) are all out for Sunday against Utah. Jazz have tiebreakers over 5 teams at 47-35 if lost final 2 games.
