Here are some general OKC scenarios: OKC finishes 2-0, they will get the 4th, 5th, or 6th seed. OKC finishes 1-1, they will get the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th seed. OKC finishes 0-2, they will get the 8th seed or eliminated.
MIN or Denver will have 36 losses by the end, we just need SA, NO, OKC to win 1 out of 2 then we'll get Min or Den whoever come out of Wednesday night. that should be a good scenario for us
Rockets played subpar but the officials were never going to let OKC possibly fall out of playoff contention. They'll get the favored calls for the remainder of the regular season. and a loss for the Thunder would've given them a higher chance at 8th seed than outright missing the playoffs.
You and so many others say this. I don't agree. Even without Curry, GS would own OKC in the 1st round.
They aren't going to lose to MEM. It is almost impossible for OKC to miss the playoffs now, thanks to the Rockets.
OKC finishes 1-1, they will get 8th seed assume that 2-way tie only. both teams: 47-35 Both Wolves and Nuggets have tiebreaker over Thunder.
Wolves and Nuggets play against each other. Both have 35 losses already. Thunder won’t get 8th in that case.
My prediction is Nuggets 47-35 (7th seed) Thunder 47-35 (8th seed) Wolves 46-36 (9th seed, Jimmy Butler is not 100%)
This is what I think It won't be easy for Warriors to win the first round. Nuggets? Mr. Curry has expressed hope to prove his coach wrong about returning in the first round. Return in Game 6?
For OKC to get the 7th Seed: 1. OKC goes 1-1 and finishes with 35 losses. 2. Exactly two and only two of these teams must finish with 36 losses: UTH, NO, SA, MIN, DEN 3. UTH cannot finish tied with OKC at 35 losses. Various Notes: 1. An OKC 3-way tie with UTH and NO will be seeded according to Group Record (OKC 4-3, UTH 4-4, NO 3-4) 2. An OKC 3-way tie with UTH and SA will be seeded according to Group Record (OKC 5-3, UTH 4-4, SA 3-5) 3. An OKC 3-way tie with UTH and MIN will be seeded according to Group Record (MIN 5-3, OKC 4-4, UTH 3-5) 4. An OKC 3-way tie with UTH and DEN will be seeded according to Group Record (DEN 5-3, OKC 4-4, UTH 3-5) 5. An OKC 4-way tie with UTH, SA and MIN will be seeded according to Group Record (MIN 7-4, OKC 6-6, UTH 6-6, SA 5-6) (OKC breaks tie with UTH due to head to head record) 6. An OKC 4-way tie with UTH, NO and MIN will be seeded according to Group Record (MIN 9-3, UTH 6-6, OKC 5-6, NO 3-8) 7. An OKC 4-way tie with UTH, SA and DEN will be seeded according to Group Record (DEN 7-5, OKC 6-6, UTH 6-6, SA 5-7) (OKC breaks tie with UTH due to head to head record) 8. An OKC 4-way tie with UTH, NO and DEN will be seeded according to Group Record (DEN 7-4, UTH 6-6, OKC 5-6, NO 4-6) 9. Other than the 8 scenarios above, OKC will finish dead last in any tie grouping that it is involved in. In summary, root for OKC to go 1-1, Utah to go 2-1 or 0-3, and Minny & Denver to both go 1-1.
Highly unlikely Jazz will defeat Lakers (Lakers give up) Pelicans will defeat Clippers (Clips give up) Spurs will defeat Kings Wolves will defeat Grizz Nuggets are playing great now only one team will have 36 losses:either Wolves or Nuggets If Thunder finish with 2-0, they would be 4th to 6th seed.
There is one scenario where OKC can go 1-1 and get the 8th seed: If MIN or DEN win out and are tied with OKC (and anybody else) at 47-35, while the loser of MIN/DEN is the only team to finish at 46-36.
