According to ESPN, teams that have gone 45-9 during the season has won the championship for that season.

Spurs were 46-9 at one point. Can we say choke?

Fluke is more appropriate than choke.

No, but the Mav's don't have the 4 rings that the Spurs do. So their in the choke category.

The Spurs just need to find a legit center, maybe steal Chandler from Dallas in free agency, and they'll be back in the mix of things.

what does previous season have to do with this season? Spurs were a 60+ win team with the 1st seed in the West and lost to a 8th seeded team without its 2nd best player. Its a chokejob no matter how people can twist it.

It's as much of a chokejob and will harm Duncan's legacy as much as being up 3-1 and losing will effect your idol's legacy.

You were talking about the regular season....so i said fluke, as in their record was a fluke, so they werent as good as a #1 usually is. That means they can't really choke, especially when they never had the upper hand in the series. Grizz still deserve props though.

    Not really.

If not for the shane 3, the grizzlies would have been heading back to SA for game 7. The spurs played great basketball, and I for one believe that they could have beaten several teams in this playoffs. They just happened to be playing a tough physical grizzlies team that wanted it a bit more.

It's just like those old grizzlies playoff teams, we were 0-12 but we were in more of those games. It was just that the teams we were playing were unbelievable.
