Boki Nachbar! Could've flourished in our current system and had potential to be pretty good!

    Also, Landry and Cat Mobley.

Yao Ming, I wish they kept him and didn't trade him to hospital.

I agree. When the trade happened I was pissed. I remember telling my brother that TMac was the superior talent, but when the going gets tough he quits. We should have not made the deal, and Mobley surely should have not been in the deal. TMac could have been the best player in the league, but he had no heart or killer instinct. And yes I was saying this in '04. <p>Mobley..Boki..Landry..even Francis(didn't like all that dribbling, but I loved his heart and will to win)

    Hakeem Olajuwon
Richard Jefferson (especially since we traded our three picks for... Eddie Griffin...)

Hakeem - he should have just finished his career here. Him staying or leaving wasnt going to affect the next seasons outcome any better or worse.

Landy - Probably my 2nd most favorite Rocket since the Hakeem era. He was such a hard worker

Deke - even though he was old, he would have probably STILL helped us last year without Yao. But it was his time to retire.

I agree with those that hated that Francis-Mac trade. Heck, the entire year because we had another awful trade of JJ and Boki Nachbar for F-ing David Wesley! Killed the core team. If that core would've been given another year to mesh , we would've ended that second round drought a lot sooner.

Kato/Yao playing Twin Towers in the Paint
JJ and an up and coming Boki Nachbar as a backup
    Mobley
    Franchise

sign some decent bench players to backup Mobley and Fran and we would've been alright.

Boki Nachbar went on a poster spree when we got rid of him and he went to the Nets. He would've been a great sixth man and a great backup for TMac at the time.

Carl Landry shouldn't have been ousted and we should've kept Wafer from this era.

There are numerous articles describing how morey, the incoming gm, explained and sold les on the idea of trading the pick for shane. Les has said it took alot of convincing to approve of such a move. JVG didnt care who was on the roster. CD was on his way out so he was just obliging what morey wanted. CD is a risk taker/high stakes type of gm. He wouldnt ever trade a high upside talent for a maxed out talent like shane. Look at his drafts and you will see risk, gambles, and upside. Yao,francis, griffin, just to name a few.

Rafer Alston. I enjoyed watching his streetball moves he performed out on the court... (although I did cringe everytime he threw up a floater)

That one hurt when I was I was a kid, but without trading Moses, we probably would've never sucked (or tanked?) bad enough to flip coins for Ralph and Hakeem.

You can tell how young a lot of the posters are by their responses.
