Harden was always the de-facto point guard. It's just that we had that incompetent doofus McFail making it tough for Harden. Everyone and their grandma knew Harden would get the ball eventually. McFail would have Bev bring the ball up and then Harden would have to fight for position at the 3 point line to get the ball. He would be shoved, hugged, tugged etc and had to hold off defenders just to get a hold of the F'in ball. You've already lost several seconds in the shot clock doing that. Now he gets to bring the ball to the front court and can survey the scene and set up plays much earlier Mike AntoniO >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> kevin McFail
Haha I can see why 7 seconds or less does not work for Harden..actually we should run way more. We lose a lot of fast break opportunities due to: ppl looking for Harden, Harden walking it up and in general not the skills and mentality to fast break.
I feel like the hype in the locker room right now is on another level. Harden and this team are ready to prove themselves against SA with the basketball world watching and not really giving them much of a chance.
I realize that these are just words. And that actions speak louder than words. But the talk of being a leader and focusing more on what's best for the team is the attitude a real MVP should have, IMO. A real MVP wouldn't have Spalding as his only friend. The write up also makes me appreciate Bev even more than before. He's such a crucial part of this team.
Last season really sucked, but it helped Harden to grow as a leader by realizing that he had to be different and do better in order to not let a season like that happen again. I hope this article and the ones by Ariza and Gordon resonate with Paul George
George is a prima donna. Dont get me wrong id take him but he is no.2 on my free agent list. Hayward > George
I'm more than fine with Hayward too, I would love him here...just think we have a higher ceiling as a team with George
In that picture with the quote about everybody doing their part superimposed over it, it would appear that Clint Capela's role is massaging Harden's junk.
