Why do you think you're not on a roster at this point?
"A lot of these teams want younger, but you have to have veteran guys around if you want to get the younger guys to get to the level that I'm at and to win a championship. For myself, I feel great, man. I'm not really concerned about being able to play football at a high level because I know I can do that. I'm just looking for the right situation for me to go into. You're talking about going into a situation down in Houston where there's a Hall of Fame wide receiver in Andre Johnson, Arian Foster - one of the top three backs in all of football - and a great quarterback in Matt Schaub. It's a situation I would die to be in, but we'll see what happens."

Yeah, and Peyton Manning wanted Houston too. ;)

    Unlikely to happen.

Edit: I should add: I'd bring him in for at least a workout but I think that's even unlikely.

We didn't need Peyton Manning, but we could use Plaxico as a 3rd receiver behind AJ and Walter and also as a veteran with Super Bowl experience to help the younger guys develop. I would sign him 1 year $2 mil.

I think Gary likes the kids. Yeah, we'll have to wait and see but sounds as if Martin is coming on strong as that '3rd' WR.

I think its asking a lot for rookie receivers to play like vets. Wouldn't mind Plax here, plus we know AJ's injury history.

I agree. I would feel good about our WR squad if AJ was a non-injury risk, but the chances of him making it through the whole season healthy are slim. Plaxico had 612 yards, averaged 13.6 YPC, and 8 TD's last season with a terrible QB throwing to him.

There is no point in waiting for AJ to go down to start looking for a FA WR to bring in.

Honesty Plax will come in as the third WR, but will eclipse KW and be the second WR.

We don't have a cupcake schedule like last year, we need all the help we can get.

8tds is nothing to sneeze at.

I could easily talk myself into Plax.

Uncle Bob won't do it, but shouldn't a try out at least be considered? I am super worried and Andre's health, and two rooks and a KW are not making me feel any better.

If Plaxico came to Houston he would be the best shooter on the roster.

I'd like to see what Plax has left. He showed some flashes of what a big body with good hands can do for you in the red zone last year, even with a sub-par QB.

He could always play behind Walter and AJ while we have K-Mart playing out of the slot and whoever wins out of Posey and Jean sub in for whoever Plax doesn't.

I would bring him in. No risk involved. He probably wouldn’t get any guaranteed money with his league minimum contract. If he has nothing left, just cut him. Big target in the red zone this team needs.

Yeah, I would like to see him for the rest of the camp at least and see how well it goes. Just the thought of even a former self of him across Andre sounds good. I doubt it will happen though unless injuries.

They'd probably wait til week 1 since the money isn't guaranteed but I'll doubt he'll be there.

With Plax our red zone offense would be incredible

Incredible for everyone else, as he'd be used as a decoy. I'd love for more TDs for AJ

They're probably also waiting to see what they have with the rookies.

I'm not opposed to carrying a redzone-only WR.
