Yeah I have an uncle who has one and he was just telling me the other day that he thought it was valuable but at that package price just going with a few optional additions instead a trim lower ultimately he'd recommend getting a Tacoma
Get an f150 man. I got one. Was driving a Camry then highlander then lexus lx. I like the truck much more. Only downside was the gas when it was so high. The 36 gallon tank takes a lot to fill up. Second is the parking lot issue. Almost got stuck at Nippon sushi parking lot. My brother has the f350 with the long bed. Too much gas and can’t imagine maneuvering it in a parking lot.
I currently drive a Colorado, and the only reason I drive that is because there literally wasn't a compact truck being made anymore when I was in the market a few years back. There was also no option for single cab either. The pragmatic truck owner simply has no options anymore. You're gonna get a fairly big truck with a small bed an you're gonna like it. I get it, Americans loves their big trucks but man it's aggravating. My "midsize" truck is just as big as F-150/Silverados used to be (and the new Colorados are even f**king bigger than mine). The new Maverick is a compact option, but it suffers from nonexistent bed which has become the standard.
I’m lazy and forgetful. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stuffed 8 bags of mulch in my trunk and told myself, just a few minutes rest before unloading, and then proceed to drive to work for 5 days straight, accepting the stench and repeating the same dilemma after work each day. having an open air trunk is worth it lol and I buy mulch/dirt a lot. The ability to tow or even fill the bed with dirt will be great.
I’m testing the market with plans to make a purchase next December, or tomorrow, depending on how my car holds up. Regardless I’ve been out of the truck game for some time so getting to know the market has been a chore. I like the idea of a midsize but worry about back seat space if/when we travel with kids, granted most the time we would use the mom mobile. I had assumed I’d get a ford 150 but the dollar goes a lot further with Ram and they have larger discounts
Taco with mulch. GMC with mulch. Picture in frame, bent axle. Sittin sideways for all the wrong reasons.
Why would you be sorry? I've got a 20 year old Sierra 2500HD with like an 8 liter gas engine (454? I'm not a gear-head), with 87K miles. Best truck I've ever owned (last truck my granddad bought). My mechanics tell me if I ever buy a new diesel, Chevy/GMC is the way to go. My other F250 is just fine (it's only 12 years old with 115K)...I got it inspected this afternoon for sticker purposes and the mechanic said: "you take good care of this"
