Yes he is, over Luc, Green and Ariza all shot poorly in the Playoffs. Rockets need a upgrade and youth. Luc, Green, Ariza are around 33 years old.
Will Barton Can Score at will, Create his own shot, Dribbles Faster, Dribbling skills are better than Ariza, Shoots 3 Pointers, Runs Fast Breaks Faster. Getting Slower, Older Next Year will hurt the Rockets Next Year. OKC, Jazz, TWolves, Pelicans, Blazers any of them will be better, If we don't Improve the PG, SF depth. Aaron Gordon, Fred VanVleet, Will Barton, Paul George all on this Team. This can be a legit 9 man Rotation.
Couldnt the rockets trade gordon almost straight up for george if george decides to opt in his final year and then get traded to the rockets. Then technically if capella agreed you could use him and anderson to get LeBron. Very hypothetical i know but i believe the numbers would work

George is relatively easy - PG for Gordon, Qi, Onuaku, and Jackson (deal executed on July 11, when Jackson’s deal becomes guaranteed) LeBron could happen via - 1. PHX or another team is ready to sign Capela to the max, and we turn the deal into a S&T (Capela would count as ~$12.5 MM in outgoing salary) 2. We attach two picks to Ryno and send him to SAC/DAL/CHI 3. Send pick swaps and unprotected 2023 pick to CLE for an opted-in LeBron (executing 1-3 after July 1st) As a final middle finger to the league, we could then sign DAJ to the taxpayer MLE. We could do it without giving up Capela. Phoenix drafts Ayton and I don't think Capela gets a max offer. Solve both of OKC's problems (Ryno+less assets for Melo to 3rd team buyout/stretch), help Cle with other trades to cap friendly teams. DAJ not leaving $25M for $5M.

He's not a better defender than Luc or Ariza. And he turned down extension with Denver for 4 years $42M. How are Rockets going to pay him more $12M a year and also pay max for CP3 and Clint PLUS sign PG13, AG, VanFleet, etc. I'm an optimist but you are delusional.

Will Barton is a Unrestricted Free Agent, I hope Daryl and Players recruit him. He is exactly what we need his energy, High Motor with a excellent shooting touch, creating his own shot midrange or 3 pointers. He can defend, get steals

Ed Davis could be a suitable replacement for Capela and Capela can't play in the small lineups anyways.
