Why has there been no talk of John Lucas III? He was very solid for Chicago last year when Derrick Rose went down. He has Houston ties (dad, of course, and little brother is playing for SL team). 7.5ppg, 2.2apg, 1.6rpg. He is 29 though.. But probably wouldn't cost much. I think he's a good option for us (especially considering our situation at PG right now). http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2866/john-lucas
If they do a Dwight deal I could see them signing someone like this or Brooks or other guys who would take 1 year deals to preserve flexibility for a (unlikely to be fulfilled) pursuit of Chris Paul next year.
Here's my suggestion - let Morey pull a PG that y'all don't like and/or have never heard of out of his butt (like he always does) and have that PG go on to win over your hearts with efficient play. Just let him handle his business in the PG area, he doesn't fail. The only time there's a misstep is when other people get involved trying to bring in Charlie Ward or Bobby Jackson. So, again, for all that is Holy, let the man do his thing. He's better than anyone at it.
Agreed. He'll find someone to run the point to at least an acceptable level. If we have Dwight, Dwight might even help make an average player look great and then we can trade him next year.
On the real, I would love to have Eric Maynor, but I doubt OKC would give the guy up for anything. They really could have used him in the playoffs this season.
