A good time to see what he can do. Make him a starter since we just don't want to throw him in during crunch time.
Doubling Prigs minutes sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Other than handling the ball and some PnR, he does nothing in the 12 minutes he is already getting. Offensively he is less of a threat than Nick, and defensively it is not even close.
Like that unknown guy that the Rockets brought in from overseas out of nowhere. What was his name? Pat Bever-something? McHale hates unproven players. (actually, I think McHale actually hates players who don't play hard)
Did I say he hated anyone? I said he has to be forced to use/develop guys. Pat Beverly took over only after Lin got injured. D-Mo recieved significant minutes only after Jones got injured. Etc. Nick Johnson get ready for your close up.
Yeah I don't need to see the nba expose Pigs when we already know he's going to get exposed embarrassingly.
The DD blueprint all day long. He's definitely the MIP ( most improved poster) but he's never going to forfeit his formula for forum argument success. Not fair to just rag on DD though. It's a formula that is petty widespread. Just few do it as well. The guy knows how to setup a debate very well.
Terry was horrible tonight. Prigs was not much better besides the pick and roll w/ Dwight. Both guys are out of gas. That won't cut it in the playoffs against even better guards than the Pelicans. Free Nick Johnson before it's too late. If not for Anthony Davis missing free throws uncharacteristiclly, we lose because of poor production and defense at the point.
Its a very bad sign for Nick that he didn't play at all tonight. Shows a complete lack of confidence in him from the coaches. That likely means he has not progressed at all in the team practices. Too bad....he showed a lot of potential early in the year, but potential doesn't cut it.
Yeah the Rockets have no choice but to play Nick Johnson. Neither Prigs or Terry are capable of scoring inside. Nick Johnson has shown flashes of being a good finisher.
I like Nick but if him not starting or getting a lot of PT means a team win then I choose the team win. I do hope he gets more PT though.
You claimed not to watch games at all anymore. Is this still the case? If you don't watch the team play- this excellent team, by the way- it is pointless for you to comment on them, no?
Lack of confidence = McHales hand has not sufficiently been forced. D-Mo is exhibit A. Guess it will take Terry or Prigs breaking down too - to force McHale out of his comfort zone. There is danger and opportunity in every crisis. Give Nicky the opportunity he can't do worse than those guys defensively. Split the time minutes evenly. Nick could at least been given the 15 minutes to see what he has. Smh
I don't think Terry or Prig are going to see many minutes (if any) in the playoffs anyway. The playoff rotation is always shorter. They'll just rotate Brewer, Ariza, and Harden onto the PGs and while T-jones and Smith guard the bigger guards.
Nobody good. Jordan Farmar comes to mind. We'd have to waive someone too. Not happening at this juncture.
Bev better make a decision soon so we can apply for the injury exception...farmar, will bynum, bobby brown, sergio rodriguez or any other vet euros comes to my mind
Nick Johnson starting would be a disaster. No matter who we throw out there at pg, the elites are going to burn us. Plus if minutes are going to get passed down to a rookie, it might as well be KJ. 1. Start with Terry 2. Let Prigs run the show while harden sits 3. Let brewer end the game.
