Pipe dream I hope mchale doesn't let him play in the playoffs Those whole 4 ft he missed yesterday is starter material
(D)ick's D could prove to be vitally important in the playoffs. Otherwise we can expect to be getting 35+ a night dropped on our heads by the likes of Tony Parker, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Steph Curry, Damian Lillard and Mike Conley. Jesus....writing them all down really drives home how ridiculously stacked the WC is at PG.
If we stay #2 we will only play against 2 of them and probably not Conley or Lillard. So it looks like Parker and Curry. Very shifty but not fast PG's. So I take Nick's D against those 2 instead of Lillard and Westbrook both athletic scorers.
We'll be glad we have Nick Johnson defending rather than JET and Prigs, just like how he hounded John Wall last night in the 4th. Nick will get his FT shooting back. Anyway he tries to drive instead of put up 3 pt attempts.
Johnson has been focusing on penetration. No time for free throws. Johnson penetrates and stands erect while playing suffocating defense. Johnson should be inserted into the #1 slot.
NICK FURY JOHNSON!!! PLEASEEEEEEE LETS GET THIS NICKNAME TRENDING!!! ISNT IT PERFECT?!! YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!! -Mr. Dominant
Yeah, let's throw a rookie into the fire when we have 2 veteran sharpshooters with playoff experience. Also, Nick Johnson's defense is at a premium with the inept wing defenders of Trevor Ariza and Corey Brewer. Jeez Louis.
He's gotta be more aggressive with the ball. He can draw fouls going to the basket tryna DUNK on somebody, as opposed to giving the ball up. Mchale's gotta encourage him to be aggressive too. Seems Nick's scared to make a mistake
I didn't think there was a bigger black hole on offense than beverley until this dude showed up Defense on the other hand...
Man this dude is really good defensively. His offense on the other hand.....if he works on his jumper look out
Nick Johnson has the people around for him to learn how to be a good point guard. Terry as one of the best shooters of all time and Prigioni an excellent play maker. Hope something sticks because I think he can be good.
He got a "fresh" new haircut. McHale probably didn't like it. So he kept Nick in warmup clothes. But yes, he was available, not hurt tho.
No dominant point guard for Nick to slow down tonight. Prigs had a nice game. Hope we don't burn out Prigs and Terry before the post season.
