They're playing every one stupid minutes right now because half the rotation is injured. The way the coaching is playing them right now, all that would create is a scenario where people will b**** that he played crap in the 4th during his 35th to 43rd minutes

As of right now I would rather have Brooks and Casspi in there to play the extended, starter minutes

I think if bosh were injured and LeBron and wade were playing, you would expect them to beat the jazz and suns. Heck, they won a championship without their 3rd best allstar player. Unless of course you don't think harden and Dwight are our 2 superstars...

Another James Harden defense thread. You guys are embarrassing.

It isn't effort it is positioning.

If Mchale has Harden chase Thompson around he should be fired on the spot. Golden State will just run him through screens and mess his offensive game. We have Garcia, Parsons and Brewer as options.

Golden State have a defender just as bad if not worse than Harden in David Lee. We need to be creative in trying to get Howard on the block against Lee. I'm talking 2 stagger screens from HORNS or Jones setting a pick for Howard forcing a switch.

Doesnt matter, either Iggy or Barnes is starting too and both guys will make Harden chase.

“As long as you play with effort on defense, you can become a good defender. There’s no secret. If you play hard and you give the effort, you can do some pretty good things on the defensive end.”

The heat are back to back champs...

They'll get to to the ECF at the very least. The same cannot be said for anyone else, save SAS or maybe OKC.

    James G-Arenas-Harden.

    or

    Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Which b*stard child wins in this fight? In the ring, I give Harden 1 point bonus for beard, but -2 for being a fat, lazy, ice cream eatin slob who plays no defense.

If he spent as much time working on his D as growing his beard we will be fine!

Fire the coach because your max player can't defend? This ain't football , you need to play at both end , especially when you're paying max. The frustrating part is we know Harden can defend , he just didn't put in 100% efforts consistently , i'd rather to see McHale put him on a tough opponents , force him to play defend , scream at him when he doesn't than hide him to a lesser player.
Better to get torch by a good player than a scrub anyway.

He's right you know. Harden needs to pick it up himself. The only way he can get better on defense is if he tries to. When harden is on the court he's gonna have to guard someone important against golden state. He's either gonna have to guard Curry, Thompson or Barnes/Iguodala. Why not make it Thompson? (BTW props for being up on clutchfans at this time. I would be sleeping but finals are kicking my ass)

    1. If you have to hide Harden's defense against any SG in the league, then Harden is severely overrated as the #1 SG in the league. Maybe he should take plays off on OFFENSE and save his energy for defense.

    2. If we are to depend on Dwight scoring on the block aka post ups, we are in serious trouble. The more Dwight posts up, the more likely we will lose. We have someone who is way BETTER than Dwight and his name is DMo.

You must have missed his quotes in the Chronicle on yesterday?? James said, THEY need to move the ball more, pick and roll, the ball was sticking AND THEY need to play better defense. WOW!

My ignore list grew after reading this thread. A bunch of you are absolutely ridiculous.

Dont cheer for Harden next time he dominates, because he is due for a stellar game.
