Here's Melo's history over just the last two years: the Knicks trade him to OKC for two guys who aren't on their roster anymore after one year, the Thunder send him to Atlanta Atlanta pays him him $28M to not ever play for them the Rockets sign him, then after 10 games pull the plug, eventually paying Chicago to take him off their hands the Bulls release him before he ever plays a game there That's FIVE teams who have "done him dirty," and two of those teams played him less than the Rockets. Yet Daryl Morey is the bad guy.

Perkins trying to warn young players about the Rockets front office is not a good thing. This narrative may prevent future free agents from seriously considering the Rockets. It seems like 90% of the stories about this organization have been negative since the season ended. Rockets need some positive PR to reverse this trend.
Exactly it was no way melo should of been cut. He was not the main problem, every single core guy was sucking hard. It was a panick move. I kept saying this, I kept getting a feeling Tillman is a Jerry Jones type of owner for the nba....but I also say, maybe its cause he just a new owner n he had to learn these lessons. Melo was playing poorly …. couldn't rebound , couldn't defend. He just wasn't contributing to winning basketball games and that's why he was sent out the door. 11-14 with Melo , 42 and 15 without.

Melo SUCKED - the Rockets should have never signed him, tons of us were saying that....I was proud that Morey had the STONES to cut him sooner than later. Morey has made mistakes but he is always fast and hard at work on correcting them. DD
