LeBron is going to have a major role in this. Magic has to keep him happy. He won't win with these young guns. He wants to be paired with a proven vet.

That's why he pushed for Ty Chand. He also pushed for Melo, but I heard that the plan is just to take Melo once he's released.

Shoot...I've even got mentions of the Mavs moving Dennis and parts for Kemba. Now, that's CRAZY!!

Really hope Kemba doesn't go to Dallas because he would be a good fit. That is the kind of move the Hornets would make to take salary off their books and be cheap though.

Shouldn't have gone to LA if he wanted to win. I assume he just moved there so he can 'produce' tv shows.

 

I like all three but if I had to rank

Randle (high flyer, good rebounder)
Moore (Shooting 41% from three)
Mirotic (what Ryno was supposed to be for us, but serious injury issues)

 

It's interesting when you look at the stats the Rockets would be interested.
Randle - Shots it horrible from 3 (31.8 this year / career 28 percent) BUT very good rebounder (9.3 this year / career 9 boards per)
Moore - Best 3pt shooter (41.7 this year / career 38.9 percent) BUT horrible rebounder (2.5 this year / career 2 boards per)
Mirotic - Is the best combination of Randle and Moore ; From 3 (36.8 this year / career 35.9 percent) and rebounding (8.2 this year / career 6 boards per)

I guess it depends on what Daryl is looking for. Not sure how well any of them play D though.

Do we want Randle to be in the game when Capela is out to rebound missed three's?
Do we want Moore to hit 41 percent of his 3's and then we blow teams out when the team is on fire?
Do we want Mirotic who can help in multiple ways?

I hate to ask, but I gotta... Are we also at least trying for AD?

Perhaps I’m completely off my rocker, but if we can move EG for a couple picks and combine that with CC and our 4 firsts... that has to at least cause them to consider it, right? CC is better than anyone the Lakers can offer and under contract long term (big factor when no one wants to sign there).

Not to mention, the Lakers have to be the absolute LAST place they want to send him after the tampering (a la Indy and Paul George last year)!

Jaylen Brown would be so good here. To give up Gordon seems like a hefty price, but I think locking in a young defensive wing will serve us better in the playoffs, even though we lose the shooting of EGo.

 

Tilman would love to have Eat One More on the team to help promote Landry's.

 

I see the better "fit" as Mirotic but the best player as Randle. Either one for me, both why not? Either player would provide a much needed boost at our forward positions. A real gunner to shoot 3's though...

The Gordon mention was most likely a response to the thread I linked in my initial ask where I threw out a Brown/Rozier for Gordon plus picks scenario. I think if it's just strictly Brown or Rozier it'll be only expirings and multiple picks going back to Boston. If Ainge can tell Demps to hold tight until the summer and he extracts, say, 2 1sts and a 2nd from Houston, he can easily send:
