Wow... Woj is pretty accurate about this sort of thing, at least more accurate than most. It would certainly be a trip to watch!

Time to tank Boston. Trade for Bledsoe and Jordan and then dump rondo and a bad contract (s) off to the bobcats for picks and a expiring.

I actually really like this deal for both teams if it goes down. Celtics needed some youth and athleticism. Clippers needed a better coach and some veteran talent.

Not to mention this could help our chances with Howard if CP3 feels better about resigning with the Clippers rather than joining Howard somewhere.

This is good for us in the Howard sweepstakes.

By the way, I don't think Celtics will do this trade UNLESS they get Blake Griffin. They'd be stupid to take Deandre Jordan considering how much they'd be helping the Celtics.

The Boston Celtics are deep in discussions with the Los Angeles Clippers on a blockbuster deal to send coach Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett to Los Angeles, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The final hurdle of a deal centers on the Clippers' willingness to include guard Eric Bledsoe into a trade package with Boston, sources said.

Boston and Los Angeles are discussing a package that will send DeAndre Jordan and two first-round picks to the Celtics for Garnett and the right to hire Rivers as coach, sources said.

Garnett will waive his no-trade clause to go to the Clippers, where he'll be reunited with Rivers. Celtics assistant Ty Lue also will likely join them in Los Angeles, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Clippers owner Donald Sterling is prepared to pay Rivers in the neighborhood of the $7 million annual salary he currently holds with the Celtics, front office sources said. Rivers has three years and $21 million left on his Boston deal.

Rivers could speak with Chris Paul as soon as Saturday about assurances that he will be willing to re-sign with the Clippers should Rivers and Garnett join him in Los Angeles, sources said.

The Celtics and Rivers want a finality to these talks, and there's pressure to complete a deal in the next two days or walk away completely, sources said.

If I were the Celtics I'd look to move Rondo, or at least see what you can get.

If you're gonna blow it up, blow it up. You're getting a good PG prospect in Bledsoe (maybe), and Rondo is great but he's not going to keep you real relevant with a poor supporting cast, especially after his knee injury. Maybe look at a Rondo-Demarcus Cousins type deal, if that's possible. I'm just spit-ballin.

    Then you got something like

    PG: Bledsoe
    SG: Bradley
    SF: Green
    PF: Cousins
    C: Jordan

    Not a bad young lineup.

This will definitely convince Paul to stay in LA

I think Ainge is stringing out the Clippers. I'd be surprised if this went down. But I could be wrong. Boston doesn't rebuild. They reload. Deandre for KG And DOC?? That's a straight loser for the C's. It has to be in conjuction with another deal where Boston offloads Pierce somewhere where they will buy him out so he can get to the Clippers. And it has to happen in conjunction with Clippers trading Griffin to them when they offload Pierce so the Clips have room to sign Dwight. That means there's gonna have to be a pseudo agreement from Dwight somehow that he will sign there and play with Paul. Otherwise the deal is a loser for the C's.

    Not bad at all....

But if Ainge can get the Clippers to part ways with Griffin, then a Rondo/Griffin pair wouldn't be that bad..

I expect him to trade White and somehow get Griffin, because Morey is a wizard.

I'm not a big fan of DeAndre Jordan and his contract, but Boston needs a center, isn't a free agency destination anyway and Jordan's contract will be over pretty soon (in 2 years).

Bledsoe, two 1st rounders and Jordan would be nice haul for a guy that will soon retire and Doc frickin Rivers.
Very few coaches are worth trading assets for and Doc, while a decent coach, is not one of them IMO.

Without Doc Rivers and KG in Boston as restrainers, there is no telling how much Rondo would act out. From the moment he got injured last season, I've felt he likely played his last game for the Celtics.

You guys who think getting Deandre Jordan and Bledsoe for KG and Doc doesn't work for the Celts need to reconsider. No other team is going to absorb KG's huge contract and give up that much in return and Doc won't be returning to Boston anyway. He's done there.

The trade that the C's should make is Asik/Lin/2 draft picks for Rondo/CLee. Keep Pierce and Garnett and Doc and make a run with that bunch. We in turn now have the cap room to sign Dwight outright and can dangle Rondo to the Clippers for Paul and watch them squirm as Milwaukee and Utah step up offering us a boatload of draft picks for Paul/CLee.
