Yeah but I thought order didn't matter in which they acquired them... I mean you trade for PG and then sign Hayward outright or would they have been over the cap with PG?
They're still going to offer Westbrook the extension I assume. And he'll still likely say no - want t see how the year goes, etc So they're basically rolling with one year on both guys Meanwhile both LA guys get to play together. Should OKC fans be happy or cautious?
I'm not worried about the Rockets not landing George one bit. I am now a little worried OKC may be able to ruin some plans for the Rockets regarding other FA's. Guess we will see.
Just saying... itd be a waste to trade lotto picks to Indy for PG if they didn't get Hayward. Then you'd just have... a slightly better version of last year's Celtics which still isnt getting out of the EC. Then you're out of lotto picks, and PG still bounces.
i mean is it really? PG confirmed he is leaving indiana no matter what. they got a great player in oladipo and up-incoming talent in sabonis. sure they could have done better but looks like no team was willing to offer anything unless he signed an extension
What the hell is Bird doing? Im sure Celtics offered more. Maybe he just wanted to stick it to PG and send him to a **** hell-hole town.
Now that is hilarious. They trade for a guy that won't stay and won't mesh well with the bricklayer ball hog that dominates their franchise.
Good riddance man.... He wouldnt play 3rd fiddle here... has the dwight "i can carry a team" complex, and would have jet in a year..... Now Rockets can switch their focus to Paul Millsap and secure the bag.
This is frustrating. I questioned the Ryan Anderson signing immediately, but slightly bought in to people's argument that the cap was jumping and it was market value. I still had a hard time believing this, and here we are, Ryan Anderson has cost the Rockets a super team. I am a big fan of Morey, but he really leveraged the future on this guy. The cap space could have been used for players that actually had positive value and easily unloaded for PG, to see PG go for this package is a tough pill to swallow. If the Anderson contract was unmovable why would CP want to be here? I'm sure Morey will go with plan C,D,E etc and this won't look as bad in a few days, but I keep remembering that plan C was Ryan Anderson last year..., now its going to be to sign two 32 year old players and pay them $300mm combined until they are 37 years old?
