Seriously though. Player Options for less than you are worth on open market is largely for injury protection. Plus, you submit Opt-in paperwork. You don't actually submit Opt-out paperwork (except for ETOs). So technically, such "Opt-outs" are doing nothing, anyhow.

 

The timing makes sense when you realize that PART 2 of the PG free agency thing on ESPN airs TONITE.
