I called it last year...he is what he is a jump shooting tweener...if his shoots not falling he's pretty much ineffective. He'll never be as good as Landry...too slow..too soft can't rebound...can't jump:rolleyes:..might as well trade him now!

    Patterson is..
-not tough (gets pushed around despite his size)
-has no post game (cannot capitalize against smaller players)
-still recovering from his surgery for sure. he could not even get enough lift for a dunk.

i never drank the kool-aid that he was really good even last year.
at his best, he's going to be a rotational player pick/pop type of guy.
he does not have what it takes to be elite at any category.

he really needs to get better.

You do know there's still 4+ months of basketball to be played THIS year right?

I stand by my prediction that he will become our starter by the end of the season.

Can definitely tell he's not getting high on his jumps from that attempted dunk tonight (blocked by the rim) hopefully it's just him not being in shape and he can be his former athletic-self soon.

did D-bear really get 6 blocks... I know they took away one that would have been his 6th... so I guess he got one more after that??

The final game stats do list him with 6, but i don't remember the last block or I just missed it.

Also, Scola did a great job on the boards with 7 total.. I guess he was reading all the neg crap posted here the last few days.. or the ESPN crap.

This was a damn good win and I'm starting to see that Kmac is not that sucky as a coach. I'm not saying he's great, just that he seems to have the respect of the players for the most part and they are playing hard for him, especially Klow, Scola, and Dally bear.

2Pat has not looked good at all. He is not boxing out or putting a body on players that way he was last year. Maybe is foot is not 100% or he is not showing too much before the trade dead line on purpose so his name will not come in trade talks.... who knows??

I'm just happy with the win because Parker was just killing it tonight like he always does to us. He and Klow went tit for tat at each other and Klow hit three big shots and fumbled the ball to Dragon one time and Goran made a sweet layup..LOL.

That's what I thought. Last year the man could jump out of the gym and this year...nothing. He looks like he does not really get very high off the ground. His ankle has to still be bothering him.

In case anyone has forgotten what he could do, here is a video from last season. I love the blocks towards the end of the video.

Very likely. He was blocked by the rim today... so he is playing Mcgrady.

Patterson is a small big....a big who plays small.

This team is loaded with small bigs......guys who are not low block players and don't rebound well or play above the rim.

Morey keeps on picking em though, soft, smallish bigs......

Typical softmore slump. around mid-season he should be back to normal as most second year players do. For now he needs to focus, man up, and help the Bert do some dirty work under the rim. Need him to just play good post D, and rebound. No need to score a ton of points.

-However, McHale's offensive system thrives on dumping the ball in the post first. The Rockets have virtually nobody creating shots in the post so its forcing alot of contested jump shots and 3 pointers. The Rockets desperately need him or somebody else on the team to learn some post moves.

Im not sure the exact measurements, but I remember last year being measured with almost a 9 foot standing reach during the draft camp. Which is pretty long for a PF.

And calling him soft.... come on... the guy comes from a strickt military household. The guy works hard, and you know it. Does he have the raw aggression of Kyle Lowry.... no, but soft isnt the term I would use to describe Patterson.

I understand its frustrating watching him revert back this season, but he's gonna snap out of it sooner than later. If not then you might get your wish and have to watch Hasheem Thabeet set the record for most foulouts in a season from someone who plays less than 10 min a game.

He plays SMALL, he doesn't bang on the block, doesn't rebound, and doesn't have much of a post game, he is a midrange shooting PF...

    A big who plays small.

    Biggie smalls.

He did all those things last year. He's playing small right now because he was hurt and is still recovering from his injury. Are you drunk DD, you seem to be acting particularly nuts tonight.
