I thought his defense was generally solid last night. His struggles at the end of the game came more due to defensive breakdowns by the team, such as trying to rotate and compensate for defensive lapses by Brad Miller. Besides that he seemed to be pretty much where he needed to be on defense. And I don't usually see that with most rookie bigs.
I'm really hoping he doesn't get sent down to the D-league because of not having playing time. Thats all he really needs. IMO, if he were allowed to stay with the team an entire season, he would surpass Hill in skill level. He is already starting to use better judgement on the court than he did in SL.
