He brings balance and chemistry, allowing Gordon to do what he does best and Brewer to sit another 8-10 minutes

Compared to other teams, we've had a pretty good start injury wise. can u imagine if it was Capela or Harden, or Gordon

Previous game without Bev, go through the progressions of the plays, make or miss, decent work.

With Bev its EVIDENT the extra intangible loose ball plays like saving possessions, recovery defense fouls, snatching offensive boards off LONG rebounds before it goes out. Just "retention" plays that no one else does can get 1-3.5 points a game off extra/saved chances. Then WITH ball he's so more decisive than Ennis its not even close.

Good thing he trimmed down in offseason, probably aided his recovery better not having as much weight strain on his knee to reinjure it.

I completely agree about the way his energy, hustle and toughness impact our team- even when his shot isn't falling like in Portland. He's one of those guys that I love having on our team but would hate watching him play if he was on a different team.

Just as importantly, him being healthy helps our guard rotation so much by allowing Gordon to be our 6th man scorer off the bench. Remember when MDA wanted to have Gordon come off the bench but resorted to starting Brewer? Yeah, Bev's presence helps to fix that problem.

All he really needs to get back on track is his offensive contributions, a few 3's and a few floaters will definitely help keep the defenders honest. Glad he's healthy and back, Gordon's presence off the bench was sorely missing and much needed.

Good post. These are the things that don't show up in the box score numbers. The extra possessions Bev creates is 100% hustle. Him slimming down and getting back to his rookie size seems like it paid off tremedously. It also seems he's toned his antics down a tad bit this year, which decreases unecessary techs.

He obviously didn't. Anyone who watched the game would see that not only did the team perform better with him on the court, but he was a big part of it.

Its a nice luxury to have a deeper team, where there is less pressure on defensive role players to leave their comfort zone and score a bunch of points.

    Beverley has been awesome.

Ridiculously good value for his contract. He's not a creator but does other things very well.

That's the advantage of having Gordon. We really don't need Bev to be a creator like he had to be last season. Gordon can do some of that when Harden sits.

Bev has allowed Gordon to get better looks with the second unit.

This team really isn't far off from being an elite top 5 NBA team.

Need one more backup forward who can do a little of everything. Morey is going after Hayward per reports and he would be the missing piece for this team to come off the bench with Gordon.

Last nite's steal in the 4th qtr is basically Beverley in a nutshell. We're losing and then out of nowhere Bev rips Isiah Thomas and turns the game around

Really the key play for the win.

Really like Bev and Montrezl as options when it looks like we are in a dog fight and need energy. You know Montrezl is never going to settle for a layup, and Beverley will make some kind of awkward play to get us going.

Pat was the lowkey MVP of the game last night. I don't remember when, maybe a rebound or a layup, and then the steal on IT. Really got things turned in our direction.
