Rockets are WAY TOO STREAKY...this is what happens when you have Beverly as a starter...hopefully P can bring some quality minutes and just be a "decent point guard"...that's the crazy thing about this team. We don't need another Superstar. Just a point guard that can make layups,hit the open shot, pass the ball and not be a turnover machine. That's it. Not Rocket Science...it only appears complicated because of games like this when it's obvious we don't have a consistent player other than Harden that can hit open shots from the 1st quarter thru the 4th. Rocket players are way too "streaky" which is why they come up short in games like this and Beverly's lack of controlling the tempo becomes even more glaring.
He was benched again in the 4th. At least he didn't do the "dribble for 22 secs and then shoot a fadeaway 2 for a miss" play.
One of these days Morey is going to have to address specific weaknesses on the team rather than just trying to make the best deal. We're past that point now. You can't be this weak at a position as stacked as point guard is.
The Rockets are stuck with Bev unless they can pull off a miracle S&T in free agency. No Cap room, no LLE. With McDaniels and Smith as non-Bird fre agents. No money to sign Llull even if he's available.
I think his minutes will start to fade away. The guy is just a negative on offense and defense.I don't understand why he has to lean to one side whenever he shoots a 3! I guess there's a reason he was playing basketball in Russia.
Quite possibly the worst starting PG in Rockets history. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but for this roster, Jeremy Lin would be an upgrade over him.
He really needs to stop going over every single screen. It's very clear he doesn't have the recovery ability he used to, so he just gets torched every time and guards waltz into the lane.

Jones was laying bricks tonight. Not the reason for the loss. Just needed to get that off my chest. He played with great hustle. Looking forward to better games out of him. We can't keep going to the three ball when it's brick fest 2000. It's madness.
He will have his good shooting nights and bad shooting nights, but at the end of the day, he's just a very limited offensive player. If he's not shooting well, he's not adding anything. He's not a fast break guy. He can't take his man off the dribble. He can't pass….at all.
