Hopefully McHale will give him more minutes. If he continues to use him in garbage time, I am going to be pissed.
Huh you're right. Interesting - just checked draftexpress - Lin/Douglas/Beverley all have about the same wingspan. Surprising to me since Beverley looks like he's longer than both Lin and Douglas.
I'm guessing that the plan is Beverly to play more of the back up PG role to relieve some of Lin's minutes. We're running Lin at 37 mins a game this month, and that's a LOT to ask of anyone if you want them to play hard on Defense AND Offense. How quickly that happens is anyone's guess. There's not a ton of rest days in January for Beverly to get practice time with the team.
huh? you're doing some revisionist version of the game all of us watched. He showed us glimpses that he could have a needed skillset for the Rockets. I hope he does well because TD lately has disappeared and Lin is mighty inconsistent. We need a solid back-up at the PG.
Beverley could have longer arms yet his wingspan measure the same as Douglas 6'6", because Douglas has a wider body.
rockets love giving their starters max play-off type minutes in frigging regular season games. one of the biggest reasons why t-mac stayed hurt.
Three games is a rather small sample size, don't you think. He shot 51% in six games in Eurocup ball earlier this year if that makes you feel any better. This guy might end up being the best point guard on the team. I'm sure you will be rooting for him.
Eurocup competition isn't the same as the D-league though, even though D-league comp sucks. 3 games is a small sample size, but so is the 2 minutes he played last night. I do really want to see more of him, and really hope he can spell Lin on these back to backs.
Yes, the 2 minutes he played last night meant nothing. I watched his three D-League games and even when his shot wasn't falling he looked good.
I want to see a backcourt of Beverley and Douglas. Think those guys would cause some havoc. Right now, Beverley's desire to prove himself is evident. They looked good on the court together last night. Douglas getting an assist to Beverley. Beverley getting an assist to Douglas. Each making a 3-point shot. Increased defensive pressure. I won't hold my breath as McHale has shown he will insert Harden/Lin regardless of how well Beverley/Douglas is playing.
