I love Pat Bev. He's a great dude... very real and has a great sense of humor. He's always willing to talk to you. About a month ago or maybe less, he was bragging to us after a game (after the mics and cameras were long gone) about how he's slimmed down even more. He then said he plans to drop another 5-10 pounds next season. He turns away and says, "Yep, gonna be lookin' like Corey Brewer next year." RIP. We're all thinking of you, Pat.
Bev is still teared up while playing. Damn that's rough. Looks like IT did his first game after his sister's death.
I would not blame Pat if he was to fly home to be with his family after hearing his press conference. I hope Les and the Rockets organization do whatever they can for them because he has brought it every game win or lose. Much respect and love Pat.
Bev is special, man. I can't believe how beloved he's become in Houston. I'm so sad for him, but he's going to honor his grandpa very well. We know he is.
Y0 PatBev l feel for you man. Good game. Be there for your family. We luv you. We will pray for you. Hopefully you will get through this OK.See you in SA.
First, my condolences to Mr. Pat Bev and his entire family for their loss. I pray that they all find comfort in their great memories of his Grandpa. Second, I will be the first to admit that I wanted to possibly trade Bev at some point early in this year, but this season has completely turned me around and I SINCERELY HOPE that our Wolverine retires as a life long Rocket! I want to see him coming to the games like other old time players that still love this team and city. Glad we got the win today for Bev and his grandpa. RIP
In 1999, Les flew Comet player Kim Perrot to an experimental cancer facility in Mexico during the last months of her life. I suspect Bev is on his way to Chicago on Alexander's jet as we speak. Bev is Rocket family. My condolences to Pat Beverley and his family. Stay strong Bev.
