It was obvious on the replay that Parsons told Beverly to switch about a second before the inbounds. Then he lags behind and gives an absolute terrible effort to keep up with Lillard. Not that he would have caught him anyway. I find it fitting that we fight our way back, and the big mouth model just wrote a check his slow lagging layup self couldn't cash. I hope we trade Parsons in the deal for Rondo or Carmelo in the off season. He is fools gold.
You do realize that he's the reason why we were up with 0.9 seconds left in the first place right? Dumb thread is dumb.
Was that McHale's call? Or Parsons'? I'm very curious to know. I get the logic for putting Parsons (length to disrupt him from getting the ball), but he's way too slow to curl around screens with Liliard. They should have switched everything through the screens.
we would have been up a lot more, maybe by double digits, if he didnt keep missing layups after layups.
You do realize Parsons has been horrible on both ends this game right? How many layups and open shots can one guy miss?
That's not why we lost. We were up ten. Defense as a whole was why we lost. And he wasn't the only one missing layups.
yeah that was dumb luck. He was arrogant or just plain stupid to switch that pick. If a fan can sit on the couch and say oh god oh god what is Parsons doing and then see him get lit up then you know he is a moron.
He should've been on the same side Beverly was on when he switched. Instead of being in front he was on his back, so when Lilliard took off the only one who could've helped was Jones but he backed off for some reason
Oh yeah don't even count the 4 missed layups. Parsons is fools gold. He is overrated and needs to be traded while his stock is high. He is inconsistent and cant guard and athletic 3 to save his life. People talk about Aldridge, but what killed us was Batum in every 4th quarter getting timely shots and rebounds because Parons was to tired to continue.
Parsons did have that layup at the end, but that was luck. The ball came to him when Lopez tried to one-hand that rebound. Parsons sucked for most of this game and this series. He basically had a great first half in Games 1 and 4 and had a solid Game 5(although he did brick a lot of layups in that one too). That's not a very impressive performance.
