When I left Houston I figured I would keep listening to the sports radio stations via the Internet. Boy was I wrong.
You know what pissed me off? Josh wasn't on the radio this morning. It was Michael and Ross. Wish I ****ing knew. I subjected myself to Texans North Korean radio. All good Texans news all the time. By the time I realized they were on, I was already pulled up to the parking lot. I was hoping he was fired or quit. I checked on twitter and it said he was off. He was off on Charlie's debut, huh? What a soft vagina.
Pallilo is college buddies with the Astros PBP guy (Kalas)... really great to have intelligent daily baseball conversation back on the airwaves. His interview with Blum was excellent... he's alway been underrated as an interviewer.
Sheet, I knew about that and it was great to have a morning push again with the radio on! CP was in a good mood and took many many callers and they all said the same thing; he was missed on the air in Houston.
Got to listen to Charlie today and it's nice to hear him on the airwaves again. He kept it classy from what I listened to, as well. Never really said anything bad or took it to trashy levels like others seem to think necessary. It's good to hear the little nerd back online.
Yeah, apparently. When Charlie was previously on-air and introduced as a topic in ClutchFans, the overall sentiment was negative. Now that he's been gone, it's mostly positive.
He was clearly burned out on the show he was doing before. Maybe the time off let him recharge and do away with the obvious sour boredom he displayed virtually every day for years.
I'm guessing you're using a specific podcast app? I searched Charlie Pallilo show in the Google Play store and there are no results.
He did sound more energetic yesterday from what I heard. But there was also a lot for him to catch up on on-air. I think 2 hrs is a good amount of time for him, 3-4 hrs for a solo host is too much.
I actually found it in the iTunes store... but he mentions that its available on google play... but I agree that it doesn't seem to be there. He's pretty responsive to email. CP@gowmedia.com
I think any sports show is only as good as the local teams are, and what's happening to them during a given season. He was out for most of the Texans season (including the playoffs), the entire Rockets season, and now half the Astros season... Kind of interesting to see him catch up on some of those highlights now in retrospect (his take on James Harden's game 6 was spot-on).
I use podcast addict and he's on there. If you use that app, just type in Charlie pallilo in the search bar. It should show up
