The attack took place at the entrance to the West Bank settlement of Beitar Illit, south of Jerusalem. The woman casually strolls up and starts talking to the guard about her papers and identification. As the guard flicks through the papers, she swiftly pulls a knife out of her bag and takes a huge swing at him. The woman was then shot in the street and taken to Hadassah University Medical Centre. The guard managed to escape with only minor injuries. In a separate incident, border police shot and killed a Palestinian who rammed his car into a group at a hitchhiking station (also in West Bank, south Jerusalem). Since violence broke out in September between the neighbouring communities 11 Israelies have been killed, most of them from stabbings, while 74 Palestinians have been killed. Israel have blamed the violence on the actions of Palestinian political and religious leaders. Yeah. I anticipate things getting worse amongst a group of hopeless people living under an Apartheid-like regime and facing constant pressure from militant settlers. The violence and targeting people just doing their jobs isn't gonna improve things. Hopefully, some leadership can rise above the religiosity and ethnocentrism to try and promote a solution.

ATW, I think you need to take into consideration that most posters here wouldn't mind an actual serious debate about the conflict in the region if you for once acknowledge that it isn't as black and white as you make it seem and that labeling others as comrades to terrorism just because they have a different paradigm than you just gives posters here more reason to not take your threads seriously. Maybe once in a while post a thread about Jewish Settlers resorting to violent and bully tactics also. It happens. Trustme could just as easily post about you being ideological comrades to Israeli settlers on the grounds that you never call them out unless someone calls you out on not calling them out. If 99% of your threads on the D&D are to shine light on Islamic extremism, you having a rational mind(I know you do) would understand that some would rationally believe you have a biased agenda. If you honestly want to shine light on the problem, I don't see your current method helping at all. Posters who already agreed with your stance before hand still agree with you and posters who didn't still don't. Sorry to go all meta, but it seems like none of your threads gain any traction in starting worthwhile debates, and to be honest some of it you brought on yourself.
The balance is created by plenty of people posting anti-Israel articles and commentary. There are very few posters on here who represent a pro-Israel perspective. No need for me to post anti-Israel propaganda. No one is asking trustme to make a non-Islamist post, which isn't going to happen. At least I have repeatedly stated that I think Netanyahu is wrong with his settlement politics and that there are Israeli settlers who are just as extremist as the Islamists from the other side. I mean - Rabin was murdered by a Jewish extremist, not by an Islamist. But in this case, I simply stumbled upon this video and thought it might help people see things in perspective - this was clearly a premeditated attempt at murder, and it is fueled by hate. So even those who like to paint Israel as the devil should be able to see that this is not as one-sided as they think it is.

It's terrible that these stabbings are happening. But you can't talk about Palestinian violence against Israelis independently of talking about continued illegal colonization of the west bank by settlements and the treatment that Palestinians are receiving. Two wrongs don't make a right, but painting just one side as the villain isn't productive either. Israel needs to restore the UN boundaries and allow for a Palestinian state and stop using the excuse of security as the reason it doesn't when we all know it is really that Likud and the right wing Israelis want to turn the occupied territories into part of Israel. I think the UN must get involved and demilitarize the west bank and gaza and cease all settlement development.
Palestinians are really not very good at attempting to kill people based on these videos. They don't put much thought or planning into their crimes apparently.
