If all Pakistani families killed their daughters for looking at boys or committing some other impure act, in 50 years we would not have to worry about such a backward nation. Of course, if all Muslims were as strict (and crazy) as this girl's parents, the world might be more peaceful.

 

Certain ideas + socioeconomic conditions + failed state + personal issues = humans can commit dastardly acts.

I heard this story on the BBC this afternoon and the most disturbing was the interview with the parents who were unrepentant about it. The mother even said she was disgusted that her daughter had been part of her. This case even appeared to shock much of the rest of the village.
