Les is by far one of the best owners and community activists in the league. Anyone who argues other wise is just dumb or biased. That is all.
never heard of urban dictionary. Merriam-Webster. The hardbound version is a pretty sturdy tome with very sturdy definitions.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/winning/losing%20streak Definition of winning/losing streak : a series of wins/losses Those who called out were winning, those who got called out, sadly were losers. I'd have to say that @Pen15clubber was the biggest winner of the night. As much as it pains me to say that.
Yall wan't a brutal rim protector...give JJ Watt a Rocket uni & tell the rest of the NBA to sit on My Tower of Power for About an Hour
Not sure that I was invited to play the game nor did I play it. Tinman already said he was not using those tactics so that leaves you with a claim that has been refuted.
comparing Les who's owned the team for over 20 years to someone like Jeanie Buss who just inherited a team is newbie-ism you are comparing someone who's cooked a pizza to someone who's just still buying the ingredients
I really don't care about your argument about Jeannie/Les. It's either you use certain tactics or u don't. If you do, does it produce wins? DonG says you did while you disclaimed it.
I agree with the argument that the sample size of Jeanie Buss' ownership is carrots compared to Les. That being said, Les is an above average owner and has been dedicated to putting a good product on the floor for the fans. He doesn't believe in tanking, which might yield more championships, but at least then we always are a decent team. It's unfair to say Les has been a bad owner, because I simply don't think that's true. Look at Dolan. Look at Vivek. Those are bad owners. We have a good team out there on the court and we've almost always had a decent to good team for as long as I can remember (since early 2000s). The hires that Les had made directly (Morey and MDA) have been successful. He's willing to go into the luxury tax if he feels that the team has a chance to compete. What more can we really ask for? A better logo? That's a third-world problem. @tinman you have to agree that you have a strong bias against posters/fans who haven't been members since 1999. As for me personally, i was born in '96, so there was no chance I was going to join in '99 lol. We are all Rockets' fans here, except for the LOFs obviously, and we all care about the success of the team. We have a good team out on the court and should be grateful for that. We shouldn't be fighting over non-issues such as this one.
The only thing tinman has going for him is thick skins, repetition, and the ability to get KO'd repeatedly, but not realizes it, and still comes back thinking he has a leg to stand on. But it's the Internet. Delusion is the norm.
