I thank Les for the corporate seats. The Rockets didn't get popular in terms of national and international exposure until Yao. It was Yao who forced Les to change the uniforms to red, not the fans thinking the flying dildo uniforms were ugly. The city did very well in energy and oil and corporate suites sold like hot cakes. That's why the complaints about fans are up about people who don't understand the setup. Is Les a bad owner? no. Is he a lucky owner? yes. When was the last time you went to game? have you seen the ads near courtside? I saw a Tencent ad. Tencent is the largest chinese mobile gaming company who only makes games for chinese gamers. Like I said, thanks Les for the seats, not moving the team to Kentucky, and hiring Morey. We weren't always a decent team dude, how did we get Yao? we won the lottery. Oh newer posters are good like @theDude
You just replied to a hard core LOF @CometsWin can tell you it is a fact and you can search his posts
I'll agree that Les is relatively lucky. Getting Yao was HUGE to the development of the franchise. I went to a game when I was back in Houston for the Christmas holidays and what I remember is winning a basketball game. Les pulled rank and made sure that MDA was hired and I think that was a pretty good decision. But seeing as how you said yourself that Les is not a bad owner, then I don't see where we have a difference of opinion anyway. And c'mon man, even when we sucked at least we had Stevie Franchise. And we were only bad for a few years anyhow. We could be like the Nets or Kings who have been bad for a better part of a decade now.
Tinman has already ended my argument. He rejected two claims that I thought he had. He says that he never said jeanie buss is a better owner than les and now he says that les is not a bad owner. He has backed off in his own tinman way
