No excuses in this one. We had our chances.. it just seems like David Carr doesnt have the FIRE that Farve does.

Some bad decision making put the D-unit on the field way too long, wearing them out.

    what a heartbreaker

Green Bay's defense isn't even that good and just like Indy, they were basically able to hold us down

    :(

BTW ...we are giving up almsot a 65% pass completion this year

that can't be good ....our 14 sacks don't help

This game makes you wish we had about 5 first round picks in next year's draft. We can't stop the run, we can't stop the pass, we can't run, and we can't pass in clutch situations. Carr looked like an average quarterback and we got outcoached again. This is getting pathetic.

You can fertilize the lawn with that statement. I told you we were going to win, just not this way. Oh well, a W's a W. I had fun singing that "Football Time in Houston" after the Texasses got Favre'd. From where I sat, I thought the FG was short. Not to be, though. Texans played well but seemed content to try to ride a 10 point cushion. As far as the ESPN crew kissing up to Brett, I know that many announcers do that & even as a Packer fan, it gets annoying, especially if he's not doing that well. At the same time, lemme know when Carr wins a Super Bowl (never) & gets 3 MVP awards. All in all, the Texan fans were very friendly, but I did notice a lot of people left at halftime or at the end of the 3rd qtr. I'm glad it was a good game. Worth the ticket price (a hiked one), no doubt. Longwell...for the win......YESSSS! Just good! PACKERS BABY!!

why did they abandon everything they were successful with in the first half??? where was the rollout??? where was the passing game??

i've given the offensive coordinators a pass...i've defended palmer...last night was inexcusable.

Hey Palmer, open up the friggin offense. You cannot continue to play it so close to the vest when you have a lead, you have to be able to finish them off. Our two best players are Carr and Johnson and they should be the focal point of the offensive package

Okay, catch&shoot, you can go back to your cage now.

Texans deserved to lose this game. No QB pressure AT ALL + Brett Favre = loss. With the time Favre had to throw, he could have slipped out of the stadium, picked up some Whataburger, and STILL had time to hit Bubba Franks for another 25-yard gain. Sickening.

We're now tied for last in the division. Joy.

living in new york means not watching the texans, , but i've been following from afar. max, i did see the game last night and you are absolutely right. don't know exactly how much the packer D had an effect but we controlled the game in the first half only to see them dominate in the second. and what was up with all the draw plays carr audibled? at least take some shots down the field to AJ or get the ball to DD on some screens. i didn't like seeing us run the ball right into the strength of their defense. the pack virtually abandoned the run and played to their offensive strengths, we did not, very frustrating.

This "Bend, Don't Break" defensive philosophy is crap. There is no excuse for giving up the amount of 3rd and long's that the Texans gave up.

Also, on offense, the philosophy of "any lead is good enough" should also be thrown out the window. We need to crush these teams while we can. 13-3 is not enough of a lead against Bret Freakin Favre. Andre Johnson had 6 catches for 106 yards in the first half. He finished the game with 6 catches for 106 yards.

well, not making excuses here but, favre is an awesome football player and he basically won the game with his arm. we only gave up 16 points, i think you've got to pin this loss on the offense.

true that. i agree. you give up 16 points to the packers, and you expect to win.

honestly...i hang this one very squarely on offensive coaching. and a lack of a running game.
