It would be nice to see Al Harris and his natty dreads lying on the turf as Andre Johnson prances into the endzone.
I think this game will be a shootout. Packers have one of the best wideouts in the game (Walker) and so do the Texans (AJ). Packers 24 Texans 31 Carr 240+ yds 2tds 1Int sacked 4 times (KGB 2) Davis 27att 87yds 1td 5rec 45yds Johnson 7rec 95yds 1td Gaffney 4rec 40yds 1td D.Robinson 65yd Int return td Favre 300+yds 2tds 3 Int sacked 3times (Wong,Peek,Sharper) Walker 8rec 125yds 2td Green 22att 110yds 1td
I feel so confused. Born in TX,spent my teen's and early twenties in Houston and most of my family still lives there. But I was raised in Wisconsin as a packer backer until I moved back to Houston. I couldn't root for the Packers because my uncles wouldn't allow it. I had to root for the Oilers. My Brother and Sister still live in Wisconsin and are Packer fans. My mom, brother, uncles, aunts, cousins and Grandma all live in Houston and root for the Texans. What do I do? Who do I root for? Do I sit this one out? I want both teams to win. hopefully they will play to a tie,but I doubt it. BTW, I now live in Vegas and the Pack are favored by a FG. the over/under is 49. Lord help me
As much as I hate to admit it, the Packers will win this game. These are two teams headed in two opposite directions....unfortunately, the Texans are the team on the downtrend. Packers - 31 Texans - 14
I've been waiting since I saw my Oilers lose to the Packers in 1992 on a Sunday Night as well ( I remember that game... I was there...) to call them Fudge Packers (Office Space Reference) Texans 239864 Packers 3 - Longwell is good, but not THAT good... Let's get another streak going... Texans 23 Packers 20 GO TEXANS!
The smog in Houston must be getting to you. I understand this is a shout-out site, but please, the Packers have work to do & the Texans are just another loss away from giving up for the season. I did grow up in Houston, but I (for whatever reason) never liked the Oilers & I always have loved the Packers - for over 25 years now. I remember being in the dome in 1992. I also remember the Oilers going to WI in 1986 & destoying GB, 31-3. All the pack could muster was an Al Del Greco field goal. Anyways, I dig the Texans' effort & it's cool to see Houston get excited again, especially after what the Astros almost did - & i hate baseball. To me, it's only football, hoop & the REAL football, the beautiful game, soccer. Biggest sport in the world. Well, anyways, best of luck to both sides. David Carr is a waste of a #1 draft pick. Just kidding. I want to leave this with my head still attached!
Humm...National TV audience, must win game, Home crowd... pack roll...don't get me wrong, would love to see them win, but our D sux arse like the Cowboys... Texans: 2 Pack: 185
A bud? And you call yourself a Packer fan... From the other thread: Yeah, the Packers were so popular in the late 80s/early 90s that they had to play half of their home games in Milwaukee for a few years. I love the Pack. I love Brett Favre. I've been lucky enough to see two Packer wins at Lambeau, one of them in their Super Bowl season of 96-97. I've washed down brats with Miller High Life in the parking lot before a game with negative wind chills blasting my body. They've been my team since my parents moved to the Wisconsin/Illinois border in 1994, about the same time the rumors of the Oilers leaving began to resurface. They were a perfect replacement team. I cried when John Elway finally got his and when TO killed us in 1998... And I'm gonna love every second of my HOMETOWN team beating the crap out of them on Sunday night! GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know they don't serve Carlsberg at Reliant & $6 is hard to stomach for a brew. But, heck, it's a 1 time thing. Bud or whatever.
