Happy for Scola, happy he'll be in the East. Pacers will be scary, they needed a bench and Scola is a great fit as a 6th man, instant offense kind of guy.
He looked awful last year except that final game where they embarrassed us. On a winner he should be able to push himself to respectability once again.
I would wager that Indiana is going up picks and or scrubs only. Indiana's picks will be in the bottom quarter of each round for at least the next several years. If I was their front office, I would gladly give up a couple second rounders, even a future protected first for a player of Scola's quality and leadership. Good move for both sides, with PHX looking to acquire picks and shed salary moving through the start of their full rebuild.
I love the way the Pacers put together their team. I hope with a healthy Granger and a much stronger bench that they win the east.

Basically, Indiana got rid their crappiest contract and replaced it with Scola. Or another way to look at it, they replaced Hansbrough and Gerald Green with Scola and Chris Copeland this summer. Nice work by Bird so far. I suspect this costs at least a 1st rounder, though.
^and DJ Augustin with CJ Watson, that too. Love the Pacers' offseason moves so far, considering financial limitations. Nothing too fancy, nothing too risky, but small noticeable upgrades across the board if these guys don't suddenly drop off. Add hopefully a healthier Granger, and the bench is good.
Happy for Scola always going to be one of my favorite Rockets players .....wish he was still on the team though
Happy for Scola...well deserved chance to get out of the dregs and at least compete for a title...the ultimate competitor...and could really help Hibbert in the post.
Free up space for the first attempt to sign Dwight Howard. Think it was nearing the last day they could use the provision. Don't think there was an offer that would give the rockets $0 back.
