We get it: you don't like Lin ...and Asians apparently (and this is coming from an Asian dude who HATES all the bandwagon asian geeks who all of a sudden are "liking" hoops). Stop frontin and just admit man. And who da F is this cat? Oh, never heard of him? Must still be better than Lin too.
Lin is not legit starter in NBA. He will never be all star caliber player. At least not until high turnover number will be consider as a good thing. He doesn't have point guard skills. He is small forward in 6'3" body.
Maybe if you knew about the word "a," people will take you more seriously. How is Lin not a legit starter? You're hyper-focusing on his one negative area. Rondo can't shoot. Nash can't play defense. Paul flops. No PG is perfect; you're putting Lin too high on a pedestal.
You mention just one thing. Rondo can't shoot, Lin got suspect and inconsistent jumper. Lin is bad defender. He is most turnover prone player in NBA. He can't do nothing on left side of the court.
I guess he's closer to a Euro Derek Fisher. Plays defense, hit open shot. Let Manu/Melo do his thing. Good PnR with Scola/Amare.

Lin is product of D'Antoni high paced, pick and roll motion offense. Even Raymond Felton was 17&9 player under him. Lin will average 12 points on 41% shooting, 6 assists and 5 turnovers next season.
After D'Antoni was fired, and Mike Woodson took over, on a per 36min basis Jeremy Lin averaged 18ppts, 6.6 assists and 5 rebounds, with a TS% of 58.8% which is only below Steve Nash, Stephan Curry and Jordan Farmer (not a starter) amongst PGs last year. For example, Joe Johnson averaged 18.8ppg, 3.9reb, 3.7ast on TS% of 58.1% on an average of 35.5 minutes last season. I don't think anybody ranks him below the top 30 SGs. If we take your top 30 list of PGs that you don't think Jeremy Lin belongs in (other Jeremy Lin thread), and just take 15-20 of Mike Conley, Ricky Rubio, Chauncey Billups, Jose Calderon and Eric Maynor, and average their stats (*using 10-11 season for Eric Maynor as he was mostly injured in 11-12 and average of 10-11 and 11-12 season for Chauncey Billups as he was mostly injured the last two seasons), then we get Per 36 minute stats of 12.8ppg, 3.3 rebounds and 7.5 assists for this group, which is clearly no better than Jeremy Lin's numbers post D'Antoni, plus Jeremy Lin had the 4th highest TS% amongst PGs post D'antoni. You may say it was only 6 games post D'Antoni for Jeremy Lin (data not enough evidence), but you're the one saying Jeremy Lin cannot play if not for D'Antoni and you have no proof either.
You don't have accurate stats. Since D'antoni: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/linje01/gamelog/2012/#58-64-sum:pgl_basic 13.3 ppg on 43% shooting, 5.4 apg, 3.7 TO Pretty much what I expect from him at best next season. Low efficency, high turnover and no defense Lin.
You clearly didn't watch any Lin games except for maybe highlights, Lin goes left plenty of times, you can argue he's not as efficient going left, but to say he can't go left at all is just bogus.
Per 36 minutes and TS% my friend. Use Calculator good enough for one, may need Excel for the other. You can find TS% formula by googling. I calculated one less game though (my mistake), didn't have the March 14 game which was a blowout where Lin didn't have to do much, but basically that game would've reduced his per 36min PPG a bit but increased his reb/assists and TS%. How is Lin's stats low efficiency? 18/6.6/5 per 36 on 4th highest TS% amongst PGs last year for his stint after D'Antoni. Yes, Lin's turnovers are high, but his team's overall turnovers reduced.
