Is quietly on pace for the best season of his career

His numbers across the board through 7 games are on pace to beat any other season he has had in his career.

    Through 7 games:
    416 yds
    4 Tds
    33 rec
    59.4 YPG
    12.6 avg
    6.3 YAC
    22 4 1st downs

Other than the big time plays and catches he has made these last few games, he has a legitimate chance to pass his best year in 08/09 and is equaling his pace the year he got injured 19/10 (what should have been his best year)

It looks like we have a 9-10 TD and possibly a near 1000 yd TE here. Didnt expect this coming but good job. Hopefully he and Shaub can carry the momentum together.

And now I look like a fool. But as for OD, he's having a great year. He's always been one of my favorites...and that's my contribution.

    Gronk
    Vernon
    Graham
    Gates
    Finley
    Gonzalez
    Hernandez

Out of the TE's this league, only those listed above are better than him when he's healthy and going full-on like he is this year. I think it was 2009 the year where he got hurt around week 8 or so but was on pace for a great season.

To me all the 3 TE's have been so valuable, course OD is at the lead

Eh, I wouldn't call Finley and Tony G. clearly better than him. Finley is more athletic but is a terrible route runner and not much of a blocker either. Tony is probably about on par with OD at this point in his career.

Talking bout other TEs, I don't see Graham or Gronk being as effective as last year..I think that kinda shows better parity and how you can't have all the eggs in one area. we are lucky to have a complete team on offense & defense

Finley is not better than OD

I agree with whoever said OD is there with Tony Gonzales

lol at the list of those who are better than O.D . you can add john mackey and ozzie newsome to the list. =/

As of right freaking now(which is the purpose of the thread), only Tony and the gronk are playing at a slightly higher level, then it's everyone else.
Why is it that when it comes to our players, the what have you done for me lately label does not apply?

not Finley (worse), not Gates either anymore. Gates has gotten older and less effective. Like Tony G, Gates is on par w/OD

Gonzalez is slow now, but uses his body well and has great hands.

Daniels is definitely a Top 10 TE, and probably Top 5.

I can understand the Finley arguments. The rest to me are still all better, regardless of the season they're having. They're better talents. Not sure how anyone can say Gonzalez isn't better right now, he's having a pretty good season even at his old age.

Gonzalez is a beast this season.
