We are stuck with him, and he is stuck with us. Let's all try to be better.

The only player I would even consider who may be on the trading block is Cousins. Obviously I'd deal Harden for Kawhi or LeBron or Curry, but those guys aren't going anywhere.

    Without a doubt

    LeBron
    Curry
    Kawhi
    Durant
    AD
    Towns

    May be

    Westbrook
    Paul George
    Cousins
    And quite a few others

QFT. Cousins + Sac's #1 would be tempting, very tempting. We could probably upgrade the PG position there.

Trading Harden for Klay Thompson would be downright insane.

I'm not Harden's biggest supporter but Klay Thompson is one of the most overrated players in the league.

I agree with OP, Harden on a down year was still a top 10 player in the league. Sort of a similar return I'm not trading him.

Do people realize that even with the season Harden had he was still a top 5 player in the NBA. He's going to get better too.

I wouldn't trade him for Jimmy Butler, Cousins, or PG who are all at their peak. Harden is not.

Of course. Which is why you don't trade him for almost anyone in the league who actually could be dealt. This is just a fun hypothetical thread during a very dull offseason(thus far anyway).

There are a few legitimate options, but if you answered Cousins or Jimmy Butler or Klay Thompson then just lol

You wouldn't take Cousins for Harden? I'm not eager to deal James, but if we were forced to trade him because he became a cancer or was uncoachable, I'd take Cousins in a heartbeat. A big man that skilled is a rarity. Talented scorers are replaceable.

We've had this thread before many times.

    Its simple-

    -Lebron
    -Durant
    -Curry

    Maybe's:

-Anthony Davis (has shown durability questions and questions about being good enough offensively to bring a bad team to the playoffs)
-Westbrook (couldn't carry a team to the playoffs alone last year while nobody in the league plays harder than he does. Don't think this team is better just more likeable)
-Klay Thompson (shooter, and defender, but can you run your entire offense around him jacking up shots?)
-KAT (too young to know if he will be a go-to star)
-Kawhi (product of the Spurs team play offensively. On another team, could he really be your go-too option for 82 games, and facilitate?)
-Paul George (pretty much the Harden of the East. Prob a wash in talent. Not sure if you do a trade like this just for a wash)

    Everyone else.... No

Unless Next Summer Harden is asking out of Houston and certainly leaving for LA or wherever.

It would be PEAK-CLUTCHFANS to spend an entire season complaining about Harden's leadership, , defense, effort level, ability to win, and quality as a teammate, only to turn around and want a trade for Demarcus Cousins, who has yet to make the playoffs in his career and has been entirely toxic as a teammate by all accounts for the duration of his career. Oh...and he is unquestionably less accomplished than Harden as both an individual and a team player, and it's really not even close.

This season was tough for me to watch bastketball in general, never got around to watching any bucks games. Is the Greek freak that good that some people would actually consider trading Harden for him? Sounds absurd to me.
