I think he's kind of hinted at it but also said several times that he would see how he felt at that point. He didn't give any absolutes either way.
From the link on the last page: "And an elbow injury to their top pitching prospect, Jarred Cosart, apparently has removed him from any current trade talks as well."
Yea, then he said he would come back to the 'stros to finish his career Brownie: "that's gonna be a deal breaker"
Why is Singleton untouchable if he's a first baseman and they have Ryan Howard tied up for another 5 years?

I think it comes down to Roy, of course, and that darn option year. I would bet everything is in place for both moves to happen (Jason to TB and Roy to Philly) except for Roy's demands.
Astros asking for Brown??? Are they that stupid??? I cal b.s. on that aspect however calling the deal close to dead is probably still possible with Roy's demand.
I would pay the rest of Roy O's salary this year for Brown, didn't Oswalt almost become a Met in '07?
If they are getting the Phillies to pay all of Oz's salary this and next year plus getting good prospects in return then I would be giddy, asking for Brown is pipe dream so I think you'd be right about posturing. By tonight, IMO, we should get an answer to a lot of questions.
SI_JonHeyman #phillies said talking to #rays about werth for prospects, then sending prospects to #astros for oswalt. on si.com soon.
Plan B??? @SI_JonHeyman: #phillies said talking to #rays about werth for prospects, then sending prospects to #astros for oswalt. on si.com soon.
