Id like Roy to be traded just so I have someone to root for in the playoffs this year.

You can always find reclamation projects for cheap in FA or trading for AAAA pitchers. Sure, teams overpay for good pitching. But if your goal is just ~6 ip per game, then the market is pretty good.

Jayson Stark: Latest #Phillies-#Astros intrigue: Astros had scout Doug Brocail in Indianapolis to watch J.A. Happ on Tuesday (3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K).

Happ, Cosart and Mathieson looks like the deal IMO unless the Rays add a player or two.

Maybe it wasnt here, but I thought I read/heard that the Astros wanted major league players or near ready major league players back in return. Happ(perhaps Mathieson) would fit that bill. Maybe I didnt hear that, I dont remember.

that would be a good enough deal. make it today, give yourself the next 10 days to deal myers, wandy, berkman, lyon, whoever else.

A bit off-topic but Jerry Crasnick: The Astros "will gladly talk about Brandon Lyon, but aren't so interested in discussing Matt Lindstrom." Lyon is still owed $12.48MM through 2012

They should be very interested in trading away Lindstrom. Obviously you have to get something good back for him.

I agree completely (as much as I would miss Roy O).

We'd bring him back later just to get the wins record, and let him retire an Astro.

    Uhmmmm......

RT @JSalisburyCSN Phils call upi RHP Vance Worley from AA and send Carpenter back to AA

If Happ wasn't apart of this deal he would have gotten the call, so you can rest assured if something goes down with the Phillies, Happ will be included in the trade.

If they are already holding Happ out of starts & such, will the trade go down before Roy can make his two home starts to get the win record? Interesting...I figured there was no way Drayton would rob himself of the two game-day promotions.
