I think Air China doesnt stop at Tokyo. Either JPL or UA stops there between Shanghai and SF or LA. I am certain Yao took UA's flight if it is going to stop by Tokyo, for I took that once that route.

One word of caution for those heading out to the airport tomorrow -- due to the very long flight times, there is the possibility for a great variance in arrival time. Oftentimes, I've seen long international flights be as much as 1 hour *early*. Obviously the possibility for a long delay is there as well. I would just advise those of you going out to the airport to be there early just in case.

According to this site (http://www.photocome.com/imgdetail.asp?id=271383), Yao Ming boarded Air China 929 flight to Tokyo. It does not say what was his next connecting flight.

You guys can check out the thumbnails of the pictures on the site but viewing the full size version will cost $.

Cool pics, at least we know what to look for when he arrives, of course, being 7'6' helps too :D . I will be leaving work (59 and Kirby) at around 330pm and hopefully be there around 4pm. If Tim is encouraging us to be there, I am definitley there.

Thanks, W&S and lovethisgametoo, great pics!! What a great website. I love it!!!!

I was wondering how long will he be flying to get here? I have a feeling he will be very tired. However, he may be too excited to be tired, especially if the fans give him a great welcome.

    Welcome home big man.
