Agreed, we should discard the Constitution every 5 or 10 years and write a new one so that we can keep up with the times. I love smart, independent thoughts like this.

BTW, congress proposes amendments all the time. They didn't pass did not mean your congressmen and mine had not thought about it.

Perhaps you can also explain the loose correlation between the U.S. having the most guns per capita in the developed world and also having the highest gun murder rate in the developed world. Please dazzle us with the loose correlation between guns and gun murders. Maybe you can work in rye bread somehow or maybe some kind of racial angle.

 

I would also really like to know if his allegation of "loose correlation" is based on conjecture or an actual empirical understanding of the study that was linked.

 

I'd like to know how to get the actual study, it is sadly behind a subscription wall.

Asked their general opinion on gun laws, 36 percent of those surveyed wanted no change, 36 percent wanted stricter laws and 22 percent favored less-strict statutes.

NRA is generally against open carry efforts. This is mostly because "open carry efforts" boils down to r****ds walking around with rifles. You are probably completely misinformed about what the NRA does and their motivations behind it.
