If you're trying to make Robinson look bad, which to be honest he hasn't looked good yet, comparing him to those players sure does the job.. but also, this even makes Yao Ming look bad compared to the others
With all due respect, that's rediculously unfair. While I certainly consider Sampson the better player his first few years in the league, his injuries ruined his career. Yao suffered the same problem with injuries, but probably played at a high level for a longer period of time... when he was healthy. Yao just took a while to adjust to the NBA. Ralph was a multiple College Player of the Year, and adjusted just fine right off the bat. Then he got hurt and was essentially finished, when he should have had a long career like Hayes, Moses, and Olajuwon. Yao never played at the level of those three (and one could argue that he didn't play at Ralph's level when Ralph was healthy), but then again, Hayes, Moses, and the Dream were on a level above damn near anyone else. Sampson was ballpark with the greatest, but his career was cut short. Yao? As with Sampson, we'll never know just how good he could have been. Robinson? I have no idea how he'll end up.
How long did it take you to create this thread? Think about how that's time you will never get back...... Idiotic thread.
I thought it was another Lin thread Pretty crappy thread. You could make the same case for Yao halfway through his rookie season. Also, the other guys are true #1 picks (don't remember where moses went). The top pick is usually a lock to be a star.
