    Yup, he's the real scammer.

I was clueless since I always sign out off Facebook.

Do people not log out anymore?

    Yes, he is.

My best one was scamming Hurricane Katrina victims at the Toyota Center when they had that Hope Fest event (geez, I shouldn't even kid about this...). Actually, I was very proud of the Houston Rockets organization stepping up to help out- as did a lot of Houston organizations- personally, I think it's one of Houston's proudest moments. Do they still have the Rocket Club West? I wouldn't know- my tickets are always upper prom.

    http://www.chron.com/news/hurricane...ls-have-an-edge-in-search-for-new-1574747.php

At the Toyota Center on Thursday, where the Houston HopeFest job fair was in its second day, a middle-aged man in a baggy shirt, dress pants and loafers approached a table offering assistance with résumés.

"I'm going to need a lot of help," said Gregory Oraleosi. From Nigeria originally, Oraleosi had recently completed a masters in computer information science and had been hired by a community college in New Orleans, where he'd been due to start Sept. 1.

Now, his ground floor apartment was flooded. All he'd brought with him was his master's degree certificate and an immigration document.

    "I lost everything," he said.

    Help with job search

A volunteer led him inside Rocket Club West, a bar that had been transformed into a computer and telephone center for evacuees. There, volunteer résumé specialist Dan Dorotik helped Oraleosi assemble a draft résumé.

Dorotik said he'd assisted a wide variety of people the day before.

"Yesterday I saw an architect, a tax accountant, an assistant manager of a health care clinic, an assistant principal, a systems engineer, an interior designer for churches, and a manager of a construction company," Dorotik said.

"It was eye-opening. I did not realize there was going to be such a broad variety of occupations."

In some cases, entire businesses are relocating to Houston from New Orleans, at least for the short term.

Whitney Bank has moved its offices here, while some of Hibernia Bank's executives are now at its Houston office.

Shell Oil has transferred 750 employees to two Houston locations temporarily.

The United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals will likewise set up shop in the city temporarily.

Meanwhile, Houston will have to wait and see whether it might land any of New Orleans' legendary restaurants.

"The mumblings have been there, but it's way too early to make those kinds of decisions," said Kathryne Castellanos of Brennan's of Houston, which is owned by the same company that owns Commander's Palace, the famous New Orleans restaurant.
    Openings in health care
As for individuals, people with experience in the city's major industries, like energy and health care, should find jobs readily available.

"All of the health care in Houston has a staffing shortage of qualified clinical professionals," said Doug Beckstett, chief human resources officer for the Memorial Hermann health system.

"For any clinician with interest we probably have job opportunities."

Memorial Hermann set up a job hotline after the storm, has hired 35 people so far and is reviewing 180 more applications.

The only thing that could make this more epic is if Roc Paint had been fooled into thinking people were reporting him as a scammer of Community Service events.

you know we love ya RP, but that would be funny.

OK, so I click on the link and it goes to my FB page. I honestly believed that when people clicked on this, they were going to my FB page. Being that I use my real name and that I have an online business, and that most people who are referred to me are done so by my name (most of my clients don't remember my company name), I freaked temporarily and thought that, if it were to somehow be picked up on Google, potential clients would think I was a scammer. My integrity is extremely important to me, so it hit home hard- temporarily, of course. And I totally forget the date today, it's been that busy.

So, lesson learned. Beware April 1- and mainly, don't freak out before you understand what's going on. You'd think that after reading the first 20 pages of threads for games in which we're losing big-time after the 1st quarter, where half the posters are ready to trade the entire team- you'd think I realize the value of patience.

I was had, bamboozled, snookered, fooled, punked, roasted, toasted, rooked, tricked, suckered, deceived, beguiled, hornswoggled, spoofed, duped, faked, hoodwinked, hoaxed... you name it. And my penance is a week-long signature reminding me of my tomfoolery. As well as 13 family members who are now clowning me on FB after I showed them this thread. Oy vey.

now that was just a pathetic showing from Dan. Especially since this ruse has been done at least twice before on here.

It's beyond pathetic. And now, every time I debate BigTexxx in the D&D, he's going to copy-paste this and own me:

"And now, thanks to you, I will never, ever visit ClutchFans again!!"

Dan, you have some problems containing your emotions and managing your anger. Hopefully this lesson humbles you. I'm glad you're taking it well though.

I would, however, be interested in using your resume services. How much do you charge? I'd rather give my business to a fellow clutchfan.

    Dan,

You're supposed to meet me in midtown and explain to me who JJ Watt is. I have never heard of him and you threw a tantrum.

For f%%K$ sake Dandortik, that was a kneejerk response. You seem to have a guilty conscience.

Yeah, knee jerk. Don't do anything on April Fools' Day, you'll pay.

But the dude apologized and you guys are still ragging on him? You're just as bad as those gay/lesbian bullies screwing with that Indiana restaurant. Man, funny how stuck-up some of you are on a sports board.

Well, I deserved it. But that's what happens on this and other message boards- people are quick to pass judgment and pile on- yes, even after I admitted it, unfortunately what you have are some people in a state of arrested development who enjoy ridiculing others. But it's completely cool- like I said, it was really funny and I can't believe I fell for it. Lesson learned, gentlemen. And I'm finished with this thread permanently. See you all on the flip side.

Not sure how this is not a 5 star thread. Thread of the year candidate for me and all team thread of decade potential as well. OP succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.
