Melo also said there was a deal in place for him and Pg13 to be in Cleveland before the draft. Doesn't that prove that he was always willing to trade his ntc to Cleveland disproving the theory many posters here were claiming back in June, July, August etc that Houston was the only place he was willing to be traded to?

Also does Melo's recollection of a done deal to cleveland prior to the draft supercede the done deal to houston?

Yup, those posers who kept saying Houston was the only place he was willing to waive his NTC were deluding themselves as he was evidently willing to go to Cleveland back in June.

No, it doesn't. He had Cleveland on his list and then took them off after the Kyrie trade demand became public. Houston was the only team on his list for a while. This has been reported. He added OKC and put Cleveland back on his list as training camp was approaching and he realized that no deal between NY and Houston was going to get done any time soon.

Read my post again. My contention was that Cleveland was one of the teams Melo had on his list, which was proven by his statements today. Thus proving that Houston was NOT the ONLY team on his list. Did he remove Cleveland from his list? I don't know and haven't seen any statement from him saying that he did. You said it's been reported, reported by whom?

Yes, Cleveland was on his list, and then got removed after Kyrie's trade demand became known.

this is from a NY beat writer...

"Phil Jackson is out as president, but the franchise’s strategy hasn’t changed much. A stalemate has ensued as sources indicate Anthony only wishes to waive his no-trade clause to go to the Rockets. Not even Cleveland, which is in turmoil, is good enough for Anthony as the Cavaliers are dealing with Kyrie Irving’s trade demand."

    this is from Woj...

"The New York Knicks and Houston Rockets have re-engaged on trade talks involving 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony, with the Rockets again canvassing third-team trade partners to construct a deal, league sources told ESPN.

Anthony remains steadfast that he only plans to waive his no-trade clause for the Rockets and refuses to expand his list to include more possible destinations, league sources said."

then Woj tweets this right before the start of training camp...

Melo had expanded his list from just Houston to now Houston, OKC, and Cleveland

for a very long time, we were the only team on his list...Melo wanted no parts of being in NY once training camp arrived so he became willing to go to OKC or Cleveland as well if it meant that he was out of NY because Houston and NY were not close to a deal...so no, posters weren't just being "delusional"...Melo only wanting to go to Houston was fact

I think he moved on 3 times
    Like June he wanted CLE
July to September 24 he wanted Houston
    September 24th he wanted OKC

Scrubs going off against the Rockets for season/career highs?! No way! ;)

Fatty Felton has gone off in a game or two but Houston has handed him plenty of L's.

Does anyoone think that league vetoed the draft night trade to Cleveland? melo and Pg13 with Cleveland?
It is clear that at least 2/3 of Irving/Love/Thompston must have been in that trade.

Melo folding just shows that not being in New York was more important to him than being here. I think we really put to much faith in the CP3 connection thing. I mean they can still hangout and talk and **** even without being on the same team. To think that he would go through all that crap with the Knicks to be specifically here might have been a stretch on our part. There were 27 other choices where he could get paid millions to play basketball. He wanted Houston but ultimately it wasn't that big of a deal.
